"It’s like lumpia you’d serve to your mainland friends. The adobo bowl was pretty good. The lumpia.. ehh. Too many innovations. We just ordered the classic and didn’t really care for it. I’m sure they meant well. If you eat inside, be prepared to smell like cooking oil. Don’t wear your nice clothes."

"I saw good reviews online. Stopped by to try them out to no avail. The open light was flashing. The sign on the door said call ahead, and they will bring your order out.. Okay. Cool. I call. No answer. I call again. The guy answered. I asked if I could come in to see a menu. He said, "We only have chicken pancit, beef, and pork lumpia." Unfortunately, I don't feel comfortable ordering from an establishment that I can't walk into. I didn't want to see the kitchen. I just wanted to see the interior of the new place I wanted to try."

"2022 Update: a little expensive.. Cost about $100 for a family-sized lumpia and pancit. The inside restaurant is still closed so you have to order over the phone and just pretty much guess the menu items. It was also very difficult to place an order and I felt the person answering the phone didn't have much patience. Food is still really good though gotta give stars there. 2017 original review: I liked it. My 6 year old daughter and I came here for takeout to bring home to the family; we ordered 50 Lumpia for $35 and a medium party tray of pancit for $25, which is pretty cheap. As this is the ONLY place in Norfolk to get Filipino food after 2:00pm, I really can't give this place too harsh of a review. That being said I do feel it necessary to mention a few things. There's no air conditioning, so they have their front door propped open, which is pretty common for Filipino restaurants in VA. I didn't sweat but at the same time some A/C would have been nice. And yes, the other reviewers are right, there are children sitting at the bar watching cartoons, but my daughter loved that! This place is very family friendly and the staff is really kind! I really want to see this place succeed, so I plan to be back!"

"Don't waste your gas! Call ahead if you do go. The website and the physical establishment have the same hours, but when I showed up on a Saturday at 1:35pm, they were CLOSED. Lumpia & Company in VA Beach is a great place to go and definitely NOT a waste of a drive."

"Wow! Just wow! This place is amazing I can't believe that such a gem is hidden in the middle of Norfolk. If you're looking for quality food great service and the most authentic Filipino food then you should definitely try this place out. The service is a bit slow but the quality of food in The Taste the food is just amazing and worth the wait. Every time I'm in town I always stop by here because I can't find another Filipino restaurant that can even match the Lumpia House. They did catering for my brother's birthday and even military discounts, how can you beat that?! Try it! A hidden Norfolk food staple!"
