Smashburger 1412 Greenbrier Parkway, Chesapeake, VA 23320

"I ordered online for pickup. I had never eaten there before but heard it was pretty good. I ordered large smash fries, the chicken sandwich with the cheddar and BBQ and onion rings, and a strawberry dragonfruit drink. First off, the employees at the front counter didn't even know that there was a different lid required for the clear cup they gave me. I got in the car and started eating the fries... they were cold and plain. I was under the impression the smash fries had some kind of seasoning and these did not. I get home and start eating the sandwich... the chicken is over cooked and rubbery. I could barely chew half of it. This was a huge disappointment for $20 of my money. The drink is really good, but that makes up for nothing."

"I'm not in Chesapeake often and have wanted to try Smashburger...can now say I have. Greasiest fries ever....oil pooled in the bottom of the fry container. Had the avocado bacon smash, very fresh with fresh green leafy lettuce, not cheap iceberg style. Good burgers, skip the fries."

"Ordered a smoked bacon brisket burger, fries and a fountain drink. Came out to $21. Worst burger I've ever had, only one piece of bacon and the brisket was dry and tough. The sauce was not that great. Kind of bitter like it may have been going bad. The fries would have been good if they weren't so salty. Dr pepper was out so I got the new pink colored tea. Pretty good but overly sweet. Tried to go to the restrooms & they were both marked out of order. Overall terrible food. Over priced. No atmosphere hardly offering inside use."

"Get PLATES for those of use who use them. I don’t eat bread so I cut the burger up to eat it. Absolutely horrible with paper sheet and basket. Ripping up the paper my hamburger falling through the grates on the basket that likely is not washed or on the table. Please make plates available to those of us who use them or need them for whatever reason. Not asking you to change your process, I understand the cost savings. Pics attached and this was me trying not to be destructive, or abusive to prove a point. It’s just horrible Oh by the way the floors were slippery as all get out be careful. And put napkins out where we can access them, they didn’t bring them."

"Food was okay which is the only reason why it's getting three stars but unfortunately we got it cold because our side sat for 20 minutes while they took forever to make burgers they weren't even busy. Employees were nice enough not super welcoming but nice. Not rude but not customer-oriented. Restaurant and bathrooms were clean. We didn't order anything overly complicated but it took forever."
