"I really love the atmosphere of this cafe! The decorations are gorgeous and it’s amazing that everything is made from scratch. There are just two things I think you should be aware of before coming: 1. If the owner isn’t present and you have any allergies, you probably won’t be able to get a straight answer on anything. They advertise as super allergy-friendly (soy free, gluten free, etc), but no one will be able to tell you what’s soy-free unless it’s the owner. A HUGE bummer. 2. Even if you call and order ahead, be aware your food/drink may still not be ready. I spent 20 minutes waiting on my latte order after ordering only that and a single pancake (called ahead and came after the intended pickup time because I know it tends to be longer than anticipated). It is what it is, but this is NOT the place to go if you have somewhere to be or expect things in a timely manner. Regardless, this place is great for people who don’t have allergies and have leisure time when they plan to go. Most of the food is absolutely delicious and it’s one of the only places in town you can find amazing vegan food with such a large variety and AMAZING prices. P.s. If you go, get a pancake or waffle—you won’t regret it."
"I experienced some of the pastries while attending the Yule Log event at Towne Point, and they were delightful. So I decided to finally make it to the physical store. The biscuits and gravy were just ok. The biscuits themselves were a bit dry and didn't have much flavor. The gravy was the saving grace of the dish. I also ordered a side [$4 I think] of the Vegan scramble. It was good, but the portion was severely disproportionate to the price. I will try them again and hope to have a more enthusiastic experience."
"I bought the vegan gingerbread. It was dry and tasted awful. It gave me a horrible aftertaste. I actually didn't feel good after a few bites. There is another vegan bakery in Va Beach and they are wonderful. I wouldn't recommend this bakery especially after getting sick."
"Cute spot with delicious vegan and gluten free options. They have the perfect mix of savory and sweet options, their cake is to die for and I wish I could buy their icing by the gallon. I highly recommend you come through for pancakes and pastries for breakfast. There is parking and some seating."
"We ordered a vegan/gluten free cake for our coworker and it was amazingly delicious. She loved it! I am definitely a carnivore, but would recommend this place to anyone. The staff is accommodating & friendly. Actually everyone raved about how yummy the cake was. So you don’t have to be Vegan or Gluten free to agree that this bakery knows a thing or two about baked goods. If you are a fan of Tiramisu; then I would recommend the Vanilla Caramel Latte Cake! Thanks for helping us make my coworker’s birthday special!"
