"So it's my first time to Washington DC and I have had a few people say you HAVE to do Bens Chili bowl, so we went to the original location and I must say WOW, it definitely lives up to the hype. This is a must go, half smoke, original, chili cheese fries and definitely banana pudding. You will not be disappointed. Everything was amazing. Been there now and have the t shirt to prove it. Even taking some banana pudding home. Don't forget to check out the mural on the alley side of the building."
"The joint is CLASSIC! The dog is more a spicy smokey link with excellent balance. The casing has just the right snap. The chili is on point. The banana pudding deserves a double espresso, but black coffee does the job. If you like Old-Skool this is the place."
"We stopped there for lunch to try the famous chili half smoke, and it didn't disappoint! Quick service, and the half smoke was delicious. We got both the original and the spicy half smoke, and I personally prefer the spicy one, but both were really good. A nice place to add to your bucket list and a quick, convenient lunch option!"
