"The bar back and bartender were super nice. The environment is very chill and comfortable. The food was amazing! The crab cakes were delicious and everything was well seasoned. Highly recommend."
"On our last night in DC, my bf came across Stan's, so we decided to give it a try. It was also within walking distance from our hotel. We ordered the wings as an app, and then I ordered Chicken Alfredo, and he got half a rack of ribs. The food was delicious and the service was great. I enjoyed how it was underground, I thought that was super cool about the place. I would definitely come back here if I was ever in the area again!"
"Picture a 1950s smoke filled restaurant for "business" dealings. Minus the smoke. This is the kind of place where after ordering a steak they bring out the A1 sauce, and honestly that's great. Is this top tier, reverse seared, wagyu? No way, but it's also $33 for a 14 oz NY Strip with two sides. It's a comfortable place that's not trying to make steak an elite only food, everything is respectable. I ended at 5 stars because it's actually not that easy to get a simple steak downtown. It's not the best steak ever made but it's solid and a decent value for it. The French onion soup should get a mention too. It was also pretty solid. The onion was soft, but not as caramelized as I would have liked, but the soup base itself was flavorful and the cheese was perfect. If you are looking for an old school restaurant that does solid basic food. Go eat at Stan's."
"Crowded. Decent food. They advertise stiff drinks but they charge $20 for em haha. Edit: the drinks were worth it and the food was good. I'm just making sure everyone knows you're paying for the stiff drink. The fact that it was packed is a testament to how popular this place is. Definitely go here!"
"This NY gal LOVES wings, okay? And Stan's rival any I had in Buffalo! But, the RIBS.... drooling and can't wait until I can have them again. Drinks are STRONG, IYKYK, and if you don't, GO. Cons- It's downstairs, and I've been twice and not seen another entrance, so it's less accessible than we'd like."
