"I would like to thank Salah N. for excellent work. He installed a new bathroom faucet/sink drain, and one kitchen faucet. He was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to complete the work, which took quite a long time. He checked and rechecked everything several times before leaving. I am very happy with the results, hoping these new faucets will last me another 15-20 years."
"Technician, Josh, arrived within 30 minutes of our scheduled window. He was able to get our problem resolved within 1 minute. The issue was Water heater had been out going on 6 days and another company was unable to get the pilot light lite. Again, Josh had lit within 1 minute. He is very knowledgeable, answered all our questions, stayed onsite to ensure it was fully operational and 75 gallon tank heated to desired setting. I can’t say enough good things about Josh and his company and a big THANKS to Tom at Lowe’s at Dale City for initiating the in home estimate call."
"Shawn was great from the initial consultation to today's install. ARS has been used by others in the neighborhood and the reputation has been good. I found them through looking at got water heaters at Lowes. I will go direct to them for future projects as well. Due to the honesty, upfront pricing and professionalism."
"Called ARS for a no heat call, and I told they would be out between 8-12. I at first thought that was great that they could fit us in so quickly. The technician, Marvin, arrived and I showed him the unit. I left him to work and about an hour later he tells me that the issue with my heat was my propane level. I checked with the propane company, and they assured me that couldn’t be the case, as they just filled the tank. Marvin then proceeded to tell me I needed to replace the entire unit, that it would cost a lot to repair and it would be easier and faster that way. The unit is only 6 years old! He told me he would get a free estimator out same day. I immediately called a different company for a second opinion. The issue was that there was a dead bird in the flue pipe! The other company found this in front of the ARS estimator. If Marvin actually looked and was trying to service anything, you would think he would’ve seen the bird. The other company was able to get the unit up and running in a little over an hour. I hope that there are some good workers for the company, and they don’t all just care about making a sale. I called for a service call, and no service was rendered! I’m still mad that they got the $120 for absolutely nothing."
"Had them come out to do maintenance on two houses. First one is a unit they installed in 2019. Said I needed a” new capacitor “ because it was going to fail. I didn’t think enough and agreed. 350 dollars. Then they came to the other house and said I had a gas leak and it was a safety issue. Had someone else come out. It is a scam. I have no leak. My kids and I spent the night in the cold unnecessarily. I will need a new unit but it isn’t urgent (might have an ac issue this summer). But definitely not a safety hazard. They are trying to drum up work at the end of the year for their technicians. I’m glad I called for a second and more thorough opinion before buying and really mad at myself for not just saying no thanks to the capacitor scam. He probably didn’t actually change anything out. I should have said thanks I’ll wait till it fails. My bad. Won’t be using them again. And pretty sure they charged me when it should have still been under warranty. Bad form big company. I’m going with the small business next time."
