Poppy + Chalk / SCOOP on Davis

"Absolutely love this shop. We have been to many antiques shops looking for a dry sink over the last year. We walked into Poppy & Chalk and found this gem, in great condition and very reasonably priced. They had just got it in and offered to customize it for us. However we were so impressed with its natural condition we wanted to leave it as is. They even held it for us until the next day So we could come back with our truck. If you are in downtown Culpeper, definitely check this store out. The staff is just as amazing as their furniture pieces."

"Wonderful shop. Such wonderful people working here. Met the gentleman in charge of the wood. He is the one that designs and takes care of all their wood products including the pens, wine stoppers and rings that are in one of the pictures. If you want original woodwork (cabinets, plates, pens, plaques, etc...) and unique antiques, come to this place."

"The owner, Linda, is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She held a private workshop on both chalk and milk paint for me and a friend and was incredibly accommodating with her time and knowledge. She has a beautiful store, chock-full of goodies by local artisans, including impressive farm tables and light fixtures made by her husband. Linda also sells vintage furniture she paints herself. I highly recommend a visit to this charming store when in the area. We drove three hours (there and back) to make the trip and it was so worth it. Definitely sign up for one of their paint workshops if you can. Can't wait to visit again."
