Flint Hill Public House & Restaurant

"This place was renamed years ago The Blue Door. I dont know why Google hasn't kept up. It's a lovely old building, once one of the county's neighborhood schools before all the county schools were incorporated into one location. It has since been turned into a restaurant and inn. I've not stayed there, as I live in the area, but I have eaten there and recently threw a party there in one of the dining rooms. The decor is modern and serene. The service is friendly but non-intrusive. The menu features local and seasonal fare, so it changes from time to time. Everything runs well under the watchful eye of its gracious owner Reem."

"It’s South Beach meets Flint Hill. Great ambience - high ceilings, various dining rooms, as well as a sexy bar in the back room. A thoughtfully inspired menu, and great service. Beautiful back patio with a garden path and a couple of gazebos with seating. So nice to have a destination restaurant in the country again!"

"The experience at Flint Hill Public House was not all bad, but the reason to go to a restaurant, the food, left little reason to go back. The atmosphere is very nice. The dining rooms inside are beautiful. The grounds outside are lovely. Dining outside is nice & would be wonderful if they didn't allow smoking under the tent. The entertainer was great! Service was attentive & timely. The food was mediocre at best, especially for the price!! Nothing stood out as delicious. In fact, both dishes were too salty! The food should be stand out, especially for their prices. The food should lead the experience, everything else supporting it. Very disappointed in the quality of the dishes."

"This was our second time staying at Flint Hill. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are modern and spacious. We were the only guests for the night! We were given a delicious bottle of wine to enjoy when we arrived, which was such a nice touch. The beda are really comfortable and I loved the homey feel created by the common area in the middle of all the rooms. My only complaint was in the cleanliness of the room. It was mostly perfect, but i found hair on the wall in the shower, and the coffee table was pretty dusty. Both of those aren't huge complaints, I realize, but are minute details that take a moment for housekeeping to address. Thanks for a lovely stay, Flint Hill, we'll be back!"

"If you want a 5 star dining experience, this is your place. A nice mix of old and new with local art displayed throughout. Great local brews, wines, and cuisine. You won't find a more professional, friendly, and helpful staff anywhere. The food was top notch and we fed a group of 40 in celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary. The accommodations at the inn where beautiful, clean, and comfortable. They pay attention to every detail in everything - food, ambiance, and the accommodations!"
