"We have visited Inn at Little Washington multiple times and were excited to give this property a try. The website advertises a far different experience and level of product than the Blue Rock truly offers. We were disappointed with the booking (and confirmation) process and unwelcoming check-in, but could have overlooked those inconveniences. We had Suite 2, which is immediately above the kitchen and featured dorm room-esque bathrooms and hobbit height ceilings. The room absorbed all the heat of the kitchen, with no ability to regulate the temperature and we heard each conversation of the kitchen (including its guests and how much they may or may not spend on wine) until after 11pm. The one bright star was the fried chicken, it is truly delicious, but the service for our meal was lacking overall. We could not find one peaceful respite in this “inn” that wasn’t an overflow work room for the staff. This may have potential as a good restaurant where you can stay over if you must, but it certainly isn’t ready to bill itself as a destination."

"While the presentation of the tasting menu was impeccable, the flavors were lacking. The room and bed were cozy, but the toiletries provided were basic, which was disappointing considering the high price per night. The limited breakfast options of oatmeal and yogurt were also underwhelming, especially considering the inn's attached tasting menu restaurant. However, the front staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall, the experience at the Blue Rock Inn had some positives, but there were also areas that fell short, particularly considering the high price. For this kind of price point a walk in shower, better toiletries, and more amenities are expected."
