Reviews
"There some good therapist over there. However, the counseling center has a very terrible management and it's a waste of students fees. There are almost 30,000 students on campus and they barely have clients because of their policy to repel students from coming to the counseling center. The number of staff is very low and most of them are part time. I believe the management team at this center should be completely replaced by a newer more competent team that put students mental health concerns first because that is what a counseling center for."
"I went seeking help here because I was stressing over academics last semester. I left that day forced to go the emergency room because one of the therapists believed I was a risk to myself when there was no suicidal intent. Stress and thoughts do not mean I intend to harm myself in any way. I went there so I could get help, which is a hard thing to do, and it backfired. I got a very young therapist who seemed inexperienced. She may have just been scared not to take action when I was in so much distress. It was a completely inappropriate action to take. I would just be very cautious if you are considering seeking help. Perhaps other community resources should be considered."
