"The counselors at this association are wonderful to talk to. The past two counselors I've had here make me feel so welcomed and safe to talk about my problems and ask what type of counseling helps me best or what I'm looking for. They do a great job of applying my struggles to a biblical structure and help me see it through the perspective of God's greater plan. They also help suggest ways that I can possibly try to confront my troubles and best deal with them. However, the past month I have been having a bad time just trying to get back in touch with my current counselor, Mikayla Anthony, to further talk about dealing with the grief of losing my mother and depression and PTSD from past family issues. Basically, I had my first talk with her on Feb. 7th of 2023 and was glad to finally have someone to talk to after years of trying to find a good counselor again but I didn't realize our next session was scheduled for Feb. 14th of 2023 and missed my appointment cause I was sure we agreed to to a session once every two weeks so I expected it to be Feb. 21st instead. I have tried multiple times to contact them by their main number and only once got a hold of someone who said she would get in touch with my counselor to get back in touch with me but I never heard anything back from her. I have also tried sending an email to Mikala Anthony's email myself to try to clear up the matter but still never got a response. I am greatly disappointed with this poor communication between me and my counselor to get help because my previous counselor, David Locklee, who I had back in 2020, was great at keeping me informed and called me himself to inform me of my appointments and would get back to me quickly if I had any problems. This issue has also been tampering with my insecurities of being ignored and unable to find help due to my PTSD so this has been a very negative I've had so far. I would suggest that the CCA's main number and counselors should practice more regular and assured response times and communication with their patients so that their patients aren't left wondering what is going on with their already troubled mental status."
