"My OBGYN faxed my referral 3 weeks ago and I've been calling and leaving messages at least twice a week and no one will call me back to schedule. No way to get through to a human to schedule an appointment."
"Most of the ultrasound technicians are wonderful during my appointments, but the biggest issue is scheduling. No one ever answers the phone when you call, and it is hit or miss if you even receive a phone call back. It is very unprofessional and inconsiderate."
"This office is absolutely horrible. The first time I went there was two days after my first ultrasound with my OB (baby was heathy and all was well), but when I got to my appointment here, they said my first trimester screening was abnormal (only did the ultrasound, which my baby wouldn’t cooperate for) and Dr. Idler immediately jumped to recommending I “carefully consider continuing the pregnancy and go next door to speak with the counselor” without ever discussing the option of additional testing. I was alone, without the baby’s father, and this is my first pregnancy. The moment I said no; he left the room and harshly stated “we’re done here.” I was upset and left the office. I called and asked to return to finish the trimester screening and asked for the bloodwork; reception was absolutely horrible/uncompassionate and said I needed a new referral since I left the office (within 10 mins). After begging, they agreed to let me come back for the bloodwork. When I returned, I was told they weren’t giving me a script for bloodwork, but instead put me in a room with one of the counselors who was pushing for invasion procedures to test for abnormalities (procedures with risk of miscarriage). Finally (after speaking with a health care professional not with this practice), I found out about other bloodwork that could be done (noninvasive and very accurate) and I insisted that would be the only test I do. Everything came back normal, my OB visits continued to show a healthy baby, until again I went to West Penn for the anatomy scan and again they pushed there was an abnormality. This office has 2 goals: to maximize profits by doing whatever they can to bill you/insurance for this crazy tests and push abortions. The moment you don’t comply with their craziness, they treat you HORRIBLY"
"Don't bother with this facility unless you want to play 'phone tag' for weeks. Their process seems to be that they don't answer any phone calls, so you are prompted to leave a voice message. They may or may not return your call in the next couple days, but both times they tried with me, they called super early while I was getting ready for work (in the shower both times). Scheduling with a person is outdated and ridiculous. If you don't have the staff to answer phones, adopt an online scheduling process so your patients can stop chasing you down. And if you look at other reviews for them, this is a common practice. Terrible service."
"When I’m actually there the care I receive is great, however I’ve been calling them for two weeks to schedule a second part of my anatomy scan and no one ever picks up the phone or returns my calls after I leave a message. A few times when I called back again, the call was disconnected before I was even given the option to leave a message. My doctor wonders why I haven’t gotten this done yet. And this isn’t the first time I’ve had this issue."
