"I cannot begin to explain the incompetence that is happening within this company. From the top down. It’s almost as if NO ONE knows what they are doing and it’s sad because their participants suffer immensely. The upper management is so lacking that no one is held accountable for mistakes. If you need an authorization be prepared to wait weeks. Billing can be going fine for months then they’ll randomly have an issue that is holding your payments up for weeks at a time. It will take them weeks to figure out what the issue is even though they’ve more than likely seen the same issue with 100 other providers. Participants who are paraplegics are fighting for adequate hours. They approve no one for 24 hour care even though their doctors deem it medically necessary. They refuse to give participants proper hours for care. One participant in particular has to wait hours to go to the bathroom because she has no aid for hours at a time because she has an inadequate amount of hours. She has constant bladder infections because of this. I wouldn’t recommend this insurance company for a dog. I highly discourage any provider to participate in their network unless you want to deal with nothing but headaches and delays."

"They will mess up every and any task no matter how simple it is . And to get it fixed you will have to make phone calls for months and will be told something different every time. After you finally get them to fix the first error they cause another error in the process. Even after getting a supervisor involved the error persisted ."

"DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY! You or your loved one will literally die waiting to get ANYTHING approved. My mom had to put my 100yr grandfather in a nursing home bc it took them months to review his evaluation for a request for an increase in home care hours. He passed away while we were waiting. All the while they claim it’s their goal to keep people in their homes if possible. And it was definitely possible in my Paps case. They NEVER respond to phone calls/messages and everyone always gives a different excuse for everything. Disgusting company."

"This “company” doesn’t even deserve 1 star. I work for an agency that is contracted to work with PA Health & Wellness and they make even the simplest tasks IMPOSSIBLE. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT SERVICES. If you are okay with never receiving the services you’ve been approved for, this is the company for you. You will need to contact this company multiple times a day for months before any action is taken. When you make these calls you will be told something completely different by each rep answering the phone. There is zero internal communication at this company. GO WITH UPMC AS AN ALTERNATIVE. They actually get the job done."

"If -100 was available that is how I would score this company. Do not even think about choosing this company. Sick people are waiting for their care decisions for weeks and more. This is not a way to help sick and poor, clients are leaving, choosing competitors. They should read the reviews and change a bit."
