"Crew themselves, fantastic. Miguel and his team are top notch, cut everything safely, cleanly, and efficiently. Back office, A+, timely communications and professional formatting. Owner needs an ego check though. Agreed to cutting, trimming, and grinding services. I took off from work for the day of the job since it was over our home. Cut crew arrived, did their thing (terrific job), and told me the grinder "may" be back that afternoon, he just didn't show up. Sitting around for a while with no contact so I called the office to see what was happening. "Grinder guy just didn't show. We can come by tomorrow morning." Understood things happen but asked for a price adjustment since I'd be taking off again the next day on my own dime and their policy states the owner is responsible for correctly marking stumps, locating them, AND ensuring no utilities or such are contacted. Back office can't adjust price, so I wait for a call from the owner. I was outside of cell service so he left a voicemail claiming his guys got held up taking care of an emergency tree leaning over someone's house after snowing (none of which was mentioned by the cut crew or back office), and incorrectly stating "I know you work from home, so I will see you tomorrow morning. I'll call you in the morning." I do NOT work from home and vacation days are not easy, so I called back 6 times and left 2 messages looking for a time of arrival and adjustment of price. Nonetheless, I took off the next day and come 0800, no call. No crew. 1030, no call. No crew. 1200 I call another company to schedule a grinding estimate and draft a "dissatisfaction notice" per current company's policy. 1400, grinding crew shows up unannounced (same guys as day before, but with the machine. Again, awesome guys) But I tell them I didn't know they were coming and I've been waiting all day, havent heard from the office, so politely don't start working until I can get a price agreement. Call the number. Back office is surprised to hear i didn't know anyone was coming, thought the owner told me. "No he said he'd call me this morning." Get a call from the owner, who again blames the tree over a home emergency and asks how I would feel if he told me he couldn't save my home because he had to go grind stumps. I explain that again, I do understand and my feeling like my time wasn't being respected could have been avoided, twice now, with a simple phone call or heads up. Maybe I could've worked in the morning if that were the case. He gets audibly angry, starts yelling, and asking "What do you want then?! An apology!?" That'd be a good start, but also a price adjustment before the grinding begins. He gets even angrier and tells me "it's not going to happen" so I politely asked his guys to no longer occupy the property. The CREW earned the second star. Shame because I really enjoyed his company during the initial process, and his crew was great, but I guess some folks just cannot handle criticism and I have to have some self-respect for my time and money."
"Ken is a great person to work with and his team does not disappoint. He is professional, prompt, pleasant and most importantly, he knows all about trees."
"The best tree service I’ve ever had do work for me. Professional and took care of the tree stumps in my yard. I had to correct problems left by Wayne’s World Tree service. The very thing Wayne’s World was unable to do. I was told the tree stump was to close to my house. Ken Lamb Tree service took care of it without a problem. CarolAnn is the best! She tries diligently to schedule you as soon as possible. I highly recommend this company!"
"I highly recommend Ken Lamb Tree Service to anyone. This is the second time that I have used Ken's service's and I could not be happier. Ken and his team are extremely professional, timely, and have always left my property clean after any job that they perform. Ken's prices are fair and he is truly knowledgeable about what he does, which means a lot. The recent wind storm had snapped a large tree on my property that was in danger of damaging both my fence and/or shed. Ken's team safely removed the tree without any damage to either structure. They are the first company I think of when it comes to tree removal, trimming, etc, and look forward to using them again should I have the need."
"A friend recommended Ken Lamb Tree Service for a driveway expansion project my husband and I were doing. There was an initial delay arranging a meeting for an estimate because their work was backlogged due to recent storms. However, when they did come out, the owner (Ken Lamb) himself came to our home to discuss the project with us and determine the best way to tackle it. Ken is a multi-talented man with an extensive knowledge of trees and their care. He is a certified arborist and immediately provided helpful guidance and insight about our project and property. He made recommendations about how he would approach the project, given our specific needs, and was able to give us a solid quote right on the spot. We needed multiple tree stumps removed / ground out and one extremely large oak tree taken down (approx 100 foot tall and a few feet in diameter at the base). In addition, we needed the earth graded level to match our existing parking pad and covered with gravel. Ken performed the work himself to ensure no surrounding trees in the affected area were harmed in the process. I was concerned about cutting the large tree down because it was near my house and vehicles. When I asked if we should clear the parking pad, Ken simply replied..."No need to move anything. I'm a professional. That tree will lay down exactly where I want it to go." He wasn't kidding. We were astounded at how quickly and easily he dropped that tree! His work was so superb, we added more items in the middle of the project and had him expand the parking on the edge of our driveway as well. He was more than happy to toss in the extra items while he had the equipment on-site, and the fee for the the entire project was more than reasonable. My husband and I are so impressed with this company, we intend to use them EVERY time we need something in the future and have already recommended him to several of our friends and family members! You will NOT be disappointed by the work Ken and his team provide!"
