"Stumbled upon this place by accident and so glad I did! I actually live 3 minutes from this place and have driven every day just to have coffee here. It’s delicious! I get the decaf americano and it’s so smooth. I love that the owner roasts the beans right in the store!"

"This place had some decent coffee and a decent atmosphere, but I think Coffee Republic feels a lot more lively and welcoming with the nice amount of sunlight and a more open spacing layout. I got a cup of Chai and thought it was pretty decent. Not too strong and with a good amount of milk to keep it subtle and pleasant. This place does have wifi and although its not my favorite shop, it is still one that I would visit for a nice study session."

"Cutest little Cafe. Warm and inviting seating area. Lots of wood and warm earth tones. Staff was friendly and our coffee was delicious. More relaxing atmosphere than the more well known Coffee chain and less crowded. Hidden gem."

"Hidden gem of the shady grove medical area. Authentic and well-sourced coffee. Definitely the best coffee shop in Gaithersburg and probably the entirety of Montgomery county, which is rife with middling Starbucks chains. Can’t go wrong with the drip coffee. The pastries are pretty good too. Lots of space to get work done or sit and chat - they have an entire outdoor patio area as well if the weather is nice. Not a lot of outlets though."

"Nestled in some quiet tiny Rockville suburb no-name shopping area sits a surprise diamond in the rough coffee café. I am truly at a loss for words in this review right now. My unplanned visit for emergency caffiene at Black Lion Coffee Café was utterly and overwhelmingly one of the best things I've done in my opinion. In fact, I'm actually puzzled why Black Lion Coffee does not have more locations. While not a major coffee connoiseur, the aroma that envelopes you as you walk into the café feels so much different in a good way compared to walking into Starbucks or Peet's. Drinking Black Lion coffee almost feels like I'm drinking coffee for the first time. The Ethiopian coffee here is astonishing, and to be specific, the premium coffee made from Ethiopian coffee beans curated through Black Lion is incomparable in my book. I've tried Ethiopian coffee from many cafés and from many bean brands and they all seem like a sham now. With the exception of Blue Bottle Coffee, I cannot recall any brand or Café that comes close to the deep richness, earthiness, and depth of the cappucino, macchiato, and regular coffee ordered here. Truly hope Black Lion can expand and educate consumers on what good Ethiopian coffee really taste like."
