Reviews
"This restaurant has been a local favorite for generations. The sushi is always excellent quality. Great service too. And the clean, polished atmosphere is a perfect compliment to the food. If you are a fan of garlic chili oil, try the black and red roll. It has bold chili and garlic flavors paired with great textures."
"We ordered the Botan Sushi platter and it was okay. Note that the nigiri have wasabi underneath the fish -- this is not standard for most sushi places and if you don't like wasabi you need to specifically request them not to put it on. There were at least 8 pieces that are just rice + vegetable, so it would have been better to order 8 separate rolls instead of the platter for the same price. Gratuity for 6 people was automatically included at 20%."
"Pleasantly surprised. The food came fairly quick, and the portions were a good size. The fish was fresh, and the flavor combos in the sushi rolls were delicious. The spicy tuna roll was excellently spicy. Highly recommend. The waitress was very nice, efficient & attentive. Prices were very reasonable."
"The food was flavorless. We got beef gyoza, California rolls, spicy tuna roll, and dynamite roll (a special roll). The beef gyoza was good but kind of soggy. The regular sushi rolls were subpar compared to other places. Their specialty dynamite roll was bland. Nothing dynamite or impressive about it. I will not return. Confused by the high reviews."
"Came in during a weekday late afternoon for dine in. Restaurant was empty except for one other occupied table. Waitress was very friendly and great at explaining the menu and answering our questions. Ordered the gyoza appetizer, sushi platter, a volcano roll, and the dragon roll. Didn’t find the pieces on the platter particularly fresh..fish had clearly been sitting out for awhile. Also, the seasoning spice they use on the volcano roll was really salty. The presentation of the specialty rolls was beautiful though! Overall a decent small lunch place for a quick meal and attentive service but fish taste/quality missed the mark. Fresher fish can be found elsewhere in the area if you’re craving nigiri/sashimi."
