Longchamp

"I purchased one of these bags online and gifted it to my college age daughter for Christmas and even though she loved it, she decided she wanted another color. We don't have store near us so she decided to exchange it once she returned to school from the break. It was her second time going into this store. The first time we weren't treated great at first but we chalked it up to the store being rather busy that day. Yesterday, my daughter went into the store to exchange the bag which was still in the original wrapping. She also had the receipt on her phone which I forwarded her. The sales lady first gave a strange look without acknowledging her. Then when my daughter explained what she wanted, the same lady aggressively removed the bag from the wrapping and stated that the bag was "dirty" . My daughter reiterated that the bag had never even been opened or used. She continued to give my daughter strange looks and ask questions about the return as though my daughter was lying. She was made to feel extremely uncomfortable. Her original intention was to buy a matching wallet for the new bag but after that experience she just wanted to get out of there. I should mention that my daughter is black. I called the store back and spoke to the manager who was apologetic but couldn't offer a good explanation about what occurred. I did let her know that I strongly suspected the incident to be racially motivated on the part of the sales lady and let her know we would not spend another dime in her store."

"I went in the store today trying to exchange a bag I received as a gift for a different color. I’ve been to this store previously and did not have a great experience. When I finally got help from a sales associate she picked apart my bag and told me that it looked dirty and used. As a black woman this felt like a racially motivated situation. This bag had never been used and it was left in the original packaging. This store really needs to think about how they treat their customers, I will not be coming back."
