"I came for a school event. The food and service was great but, the rooms were not to par. Multiple rooms including mine, had clogged showers and no rooms had thermostats. Bugs were found which also ruined the experience."
"Chauncey was the perfect place for us and our wedding. I wanted a fall wedding and the entire property is so beautiful! Amanda, our Wedding coordinator made everything fall into place perfectly. There was even a moment where we couldn't find my Dad's tie (we did!) and she was going to go to Target and get one for us like an hour before the wedding. They are on top of their timelines and really make sure the day is about you and how you want it. The food is delicious, the drinks are great, and the hotel was really nice. We had a Sunday wedding so we were in the Hotel rather than the Laurie House and we had an amazing time. So glad we found them and they made our wedding wishes come true!"
"We booked Chauncey for our wedding and this venue was everything we could have asked for and more! The grounds are so beautiful and when we got married in September, everything was in bloom! Our coordinator said September is her favorite month at this venue, it always looks beautiful! We had a run in with some rain the day of and had to move the ceremony under the tent and the cocktail hour inside but it totally looked like we had planned it that way from the start! Everyone did a beautiful job of making it look just as good as it would have outside and getting married under the tent with the twinkle lights and candles felt so romantic! We stayed at the Laurie house on site and the wedding party got ready there the morning of. It was perfect for us as we had a big group and knew we needed more than a suite! Having the hotel on site was such a bonus for us and our guests, no one had to worry about driving and we didn’t need to factor in transportation! This venue has it all for such a reasonable price and would 100% recommend it to anyone!"
"Recently stayed at the Chauncey hotel. Really wanted to give this hotel 5 stars but there were a few things that needed improvement. So I’ll with the pros. Gorgeous grounds there’s a lake and a cute little bridge. Lots of greenery and nature. They have a few hiking trails and different distances. The pool was fantastic clean nice water temperature we definitely enjoyed that. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also offer breakfast which was nice to have. Not bad selection some fresh fruit , yogurt, cereal , and some hot food and an egg station. Also the area where you have breakfast is really nice a lot of tables too. Now for the con it’s the room!!! I really disliked the room. It’s very outdated. They need to re do everything from the carpet to paint. The mattress and pillows weren’t comfortable. Also we got a patio room which we didn’t use the patio area I wish we had a balcony. I was with my little one and the patio was by a parking lot. The balcony seemed nice to sit on. Also not the hotels fault but we had a cricket stuck in the AC vent and only realized this at night when it wouldn’t stop making noise and then we realized where it was coming from. Hotel wanted to bring someone to take care of it but my baby was sleeping so we tried to sleep with that noise and it was pretty loud!!! Overall it was good but I’m not sure if I would stay again because of the room. Maybe the Laurie house would be better but I’m not sure."
"From the heated salt water pool, to the elegant unrushed, quiet jazz music with breakfast, to the tasteful room, my husband and I felt whisked to a NYC Ritz hotel. The best aspect is the staff, headed by Jocelyn, the manager. She is perceptive, efficient and gracious. The reception desk and concierge set a hotel tone and Jocelyn is exemplary. Her staff are attentive and kind. We only come to Princeton once a year and Chauncey is our goto. Thank you, Jeanne Caruso"
