"I pulled my child out. She was bullied and injured by another child and I was not told until I got to the school that she had an open wound on her cheek. The principal, Barbara D. (can't even remember her last name) handled this very unprofessional and incompetently. She stated children that young cannot be bullied by their peers. Pulled my child out at the end of the year. I also noticed that most teachers had been stayed at home mom and then decided to start work there to get discounts for their children's tuition, maybe? They do not hold the proper certifications required by public schools."
"I would not give even one star to this school. I was referred by acquittance that this school is great and could be a good fit for my son. I did some research and all reviews were either bad or very good. I did not see any average level reviews. I thought I would be positive and will take all good reviews. I contacted the school if they have a spot for my son and after getting confirmation that they have exactly one spot available we applied. After spending my time and putting an afford by completing all necessary packages. And finally convincing my son to take a test, we have arrived to school for a test and to submit all final docs. There, I had an opportunity to meet with Principal of the school. I did not like the way she was talking to me, I felt she is looking at me down. But I tried to brush that off and thought maybe I am too sensitive... On the way out from Principal's office the Admission Director scheduled a time for us for a school tour. On the following day in the morning I have received a call from Admission Director saying that Admission Committee decided that their school is not a good fit for my son. I asked what made them to make that decision, she said she does not have an answer to that, and suggested to write an email to Principal, so I did. Two days after my email, I have received following response from Principal: -"When considering admissions, we look at school records, teacher narratives, the application and the screening test results. We also have to consider the needs of the children currently in the class, the availability of seats in math classes, and the availability of support staff. Those are the items we consider when determining whether or not we are able to meet a child's needs." This response still did not give me a clear explanation and they still owe an explanation to my son which I clearly stated in my email. I wrote my second email and no response still. I am glad that my son is not going to this school, and I still think that my son and I have a right to know what made them to make that decision."
"I just finished my eighth grade year and I enjoyed it a lot. The teachers are amazing. when I left Some teachers left as well. I can truly say that they were amazing. The new principal is kind too. I would recommend this school to others."
"I guess this is a great school as long as your kid does not have any learning disability. We found out our boy had a mild case of ADD thanks to our Kindergarten teacher suggesting that something was off with him. We started a very painful process of finding a psychologist and running the tests. During this process, the school never responded to any of our emails/calls when we inquired for help and guidance (which you would think any school and specially a catholic one would be there for you during difficult times). We only received 2 more emails asking for tests results as they did not know what to do with our kid. Again, our kid has a very MILD case of ADD and he is very easy to direct with proper guidance that obviously St. Bernadette's staff does not know how to offer. Very disappointed with this school, teachers of Kindergarten and its Director."
