"One of the highest quality brunches I’ve had in D.C. My friends and I did the chefs tasting and I’m sure glad we did because it was excellent. For me the star of the show was actually the two salads and the salmon dish. Our server Richard was a true professional and was attentive to our needs. It was also my birthday so he brought out a round of champagne for the table. The outdoor covered patio is the perfect place to grab brunch and has a great ambiance."
"Nina May was an absolute dream last night. We started with champagne and ended with chocolate pot de creme. All of the dishes in between were fantastic! Delicious ingredients, the best service, calming atmosphere..My friends and I can’t wait to celebrate more milestones here. The menu is so seasonal but if they still have the risotto, cauliflower, eggplant, and short rib - don’t miss those!"
"From the first day they opened, Nina May has been on my list and I'm so glad we finally dined there. In a farmhouse-style restaurant in Logan Circle, the chefs create a seasonal neo-American menu. My wife and I went for dinner during the last week of Nina May's summer menu. Here's our experience. 1) Food: To feed the two of us, we ordered the heirloom tomato salad with smoked whipped feta, Parker House rolls, brisket, corn cavatelli with crab, and chocolate mousse. Every dish was well presented and tasty, especially the rolls. They are the best Parker House rolls I've ever had and the butter it comes with is perfect. The only thing we didn't love were the corn dumplings that came with the smoked beef pastrami. They were dry. 2) Drinks: Their list is impressive with wine from all parts of the world, including Serbia and Moldova. Their Moldovan Sauvignon Blanc was refreshing and the seasonal watermelon margarita good. 3) Service: From start to finish, it was efficient and helpful. Gratuity is not included so be sure to tip well. 4) Space: It's inside an old rowhouse with two levels of dining and a bar on each floor. (Unisex bathrooms are on both floors too.) The dishwater is gorgeous and the decorations on the walls match the farmhouse theme, except for the large photos of D.C. monuments. 5) Location: On the edge of Logan Circle, it's central with many other restaurants and cafes nearby. Street parking is hard to find. It took us 20 minutes to find a spot. If you want a more intimate date night, book this spot. It's truly local and quaint."
"Great staff and service. Food is also at an elevated level. The drinks are fantastic too. Both the cocktails and the mocktails. Love the beet cocktail and the cucumber non alcoholic drink. Patio is large with comfy couches and chairs. There is an open part and a fully covered part. Good for gatherings. The set tasting menu at 55 bucks per person is a really good deal but we went a la carte. The Parker House rolls with the butter topped with crispy chicken skin crackling…. OMG. The corn cavatella was another top dish. Don’t get the clams. The cacio e pepe agnolotti also fantastico. Tomato salad also good. Rockfish also good. But the cacio e Pepe dis, the Parker house rolls, and the corn dish are all must gets. Avoid the clams and the margarita. As I mentioned, service is great. I left my credi card and they called ti say that they had it. Another good reason to make a reservation. Desserts are okay except for the carrot cake which is way too wet. Moist is good but wet is claggy."
"Nina May is amazing at hosting private events! My fiancé and I had our engagement party at the restaurant and it was a magical evening. The food, atmosphere, and entire team were incredible. We had a number of guests with dietary restrictions and the team went out of the way to accommodate them. Everything was seamless and we can’t thank them enough!"
