"This apartment building was never our first choice but it was all that was available in post-pandemic Baltimore at the time we were moving. We have been through three managers in a year and none of them ever really seem to be at the front desk regardless. When we have a maintenance request we have to call around to other properties owned by BCI Management (the parent company) because there's no way to get in touch with Printer's Square maintenance anymore. We've had a leaking dishwasher for about two weeks and when we finally spoke to a manager from a different property, they told us to just not use the dishwasher. In addition, things are often stolen. Packages go missing if you aren't there to retrieve them quickly - even though we have lockers here, there seems to be no enforcement on using them. And most recently laundry is starting to go missing from the laundry room. There are cameras around but, again, with no management on premises to speak with, there are no resolutions to these problems. Cannot wait for my lease to be over."
"I've been trying to get in contact with someone in regards to setting up a tour to view these apartments. I've called several times, left several voicemails, and have even filled out the Contact Us form numerous times. I can say I'm completely disappointed. Someone finally got back to me by the name of Matt Jude and told me to contact the apartment complex to make an appointment. I've explained to him I've done so SEVERAL times and I have seem to gotten no where. I've even contacted the BCI Management agency and have left comments and still no one had gotten back to me."
"Deserves NO stars. I sat for hours waiting for someone to either come or answer the phone so that I can take my tour and pay my deposit. NO ONE CAME OR CALLED. I set this appointment weeks ago and now NO ONE is here and NO ONE is answering the phone, INCLUDING THE CORPORATE OFFICE. I wouldve been stuck outside in 80+ degree weather if a tenant didn't let me in on their way out! Don't make appointments you can't keep!! I took off of work, payed for and endured a 2hr train ride to be here ON TIME. The least you could do is have someone to answer the phone. I am BEYOND furious."
"My husband and I lived here MUCH longer than we should have. Within a few months of move-in, we had gallons of water through the ceiling, in the walls, out from under the floorboards. Naively, we trusted the landlord, who makes many promises, to follow through - and he doesn't follow through. EVER. We had water constantly, we had mold, we had windows that wouldn't open because they were installed poorly. We had a landlord who told us, "It would be easier for me if you moved out because I could patch the hole and rent to someone else at a higher rate." THIS IS NOT A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE. We lived here for almost three years, getting baited along that things in the building would change. People were destructive, slicing holes in the artwork on the wall in the hallways. Security wasn't a priority - the locks on the doors to the building were often dysfunctional, leaving the doors unable to even securely close (this was VISIBLE from the parking lot, and occurred multiple times throughout our tenancy, and always went unaddressed for days at a time, if not weeks). Gates were left open. My bike was stolen from inside the resident-only locked garage where the building manager had told me to lock it. BGE meters were hooked up to the wrong wiring so people had the wrong bills to pay - that took several months to be addressed despite significant outcry from tenants. It's just not a good building. The turnover was ridiculous. We wanted to love it because it seems fairly affordable, is walkable to so much, including public transit, but it just wasn't worth it. In retrospect, we should have demanded our deposit back immediately after the first incidence of torrential water through the ceilings. The worst part is how many other tenants still live there in those conditions, including several elderly tenants. Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT MOVE HERE. AVOID!"
"I tried to live here but after 3 weeks of waiting to hear back about my roommate's application, my roommate backed out. Then when I tried to get my $300 reservation fee back that was supposed to go towards my security deposit, they wouldn't give it back to me. I emailed a complaint with no response. I called and complained and the girl working their talked to the owner and the owner wouldn't give me my money back but instead said he would give me a slightly lower rate on the two bedroom, which is something no person could afford on their own, even if it was a one bedroom. My mom called for weeks and never heard back from him. This place is awful and I'm certain their goal is to screw you out of as much money as possible."
