Union Wharf Apartments

"Union Wharf has big problems but refuses to fix them. Here's our warning to future tenants: A) The noise is OUT of control in this complex! For those of us with young children and those who work from home, hearing TV or music at high volume all day long is untenable. These are the apartments we pay > $2,100 for, so being told to just 'work somewhere else' is out of the question. The desk attendant and management response is far too weak - we kept hoping over and over they would act with reason and do something to get it under control. They didn't. They just ignore it, claim it's not that bad, or say "it's before 10pm! Not our problem". They should have taken action to keep everyone at peace - day or night. B) Problematic guests and visitors - they do not monitor visitors as they used to. Groups coming in at all hours, drinking in the hallways, loud parties in small apartments, guests throwing trash and alcohol bottles in the halls and in other people's trash bins. Disgusting. They need to register guests to each unit, sign people in, and act on problems. There have already been graffiti spray paint issues in hallways. C) Dogs and pets overcrowding the building and kept in very small units - of COURSE the animals go crazy! They will bark, howl, leave messes everywhere, scratch and claw the walls. Cannot understand how they allow pets in the small 1 bedroom / junior 1 bedroom / studio units. It's like animal cruelty. D) Dishonesty with leasing discussions vs. real situation. We were promised things that didn't happen at move in. They should keep promises without being badgered and reminded. E) Visitor parking system does not work right. Our friend got a ticket even after paying for the day on the app! Apparently it is video based but what a scam. Also the parking system on 1st two floors goes 'unavailable' - blocks resident vouchers/guests out for days at a time with no warning. They need to work closer with the parking company - give ample opportunity and guest parking vouchers ahead of time with warnings for unavailable dates. We do not recommend Union Wharf - hope for the sake of other tenants they make a New Year's resolution and 'shape up'."
