"Find someplace else to live. I’ve lived here with for about three years and I renewed my lease only because I hate moving. The apartment itself and the maintenance staff are amazing. However, some of the people that live here makes the experience a nightmare. You can tell they’re not used to nice things. This place is a glorified NYC housing project. We pay a LOT of money to live in the slums. For starters, this is supposed to be a smoke free building; that’s the main reason why I moved here. They make you sign an addendum and everything acknowledging it. The kicker is they don’t even enforce it. I complain regularly and they do absolutely nothing. I continue to get the smell of weed in my apartment daily. The garbage is another issue. We have a trash chute but some of the neighbors leave their trash on the floor in the trash room expecting the staff to clean it up. Someone left their trash on the floor overnight and now the hallway smells like there’s a decomposed body somewhere. Just pure laziness and selfishness. I’ve seen the trash room overflow a couple of times. There is a rodent infestation. It got so bad a couple months ago where almost all of us had a mouse in our apartments. I’ve never lived with mice before and I never want to do that again. Having a mouse in my home wasn’t a pleasant experience. Parking is supposed to be secure, but someone’s tires were stolen and they break into cars. For whatever reason the fire alarm randomly goes off after midnight and it’s loud. No fire. It just goes off and we have to wait for PGFD to come and turn it off for us. Maintenance is top tier. I had one issue where my work order was canceled but I called them and they can to fix whatever was broken."
"I've been here almost a year and everything was pretty good, except for the trash rooms filling up with trash, packages stolen out of the package room and recently I have noticed a rodent problem. I have never lived with rodents and do not want to start. Hopefully, the apartment complex can get this rodent problem under control. It's hard for the complex to control the parking garage if guest allow cars to piggyback on them when entering the garage. The garage gate has been working consistently lately. Also, the charge for guest parking is ridiculous. It's .50 cents every 1/2 hour which means it's $24 a day for guest to park. This is not a 5 star DC hotel."
"Do not move here. I’ve been living here a little under a year. The staff is horrible. If you ever have an issue you better figure it out yourself. They NEVER answer the phone. I had an issue and I had to take time time off of work to go into the rental office be cause they never answer the phone. Cars are constantly broken into, packages are constantly stolen. It’s supposed to be a secured building but one of the doors are broken and have been since I moved here and anyone can get in. I reported this issue about three times. Sometimes you may see a homeless person sleeping in the lobby. Let’s not mention parking for guest…..it’s ghetto, guest have to pay to visit. The worst part of you have guest over, you have to leave your home to let them in, once you allow them to access the garage you have to meet your guest on a completely different floor level to let them in. When they leave you have to repeat this. So you better not have a gathering at your home because you will be running up and down the building about 20xs."
"Loved working with leasing staff member Mariah (not sure how to spell her name; however, she was absolutely wonderful although she didn’t stay long after I moved in but she never had me waiting for anything and was exceptionally professional and kind). Also Malik is equally professional. He is very approachable, attentive to residents’ requests and wellbeing and effective in resolving difficult issues. I absolutely love the leasing office staff. They are the best I’ve ever worked with. The location is perfect and easily accessible to the surrounding DMV stores and amenities. The apartment layouts are wonderful and off street parking is a plus. I’m very pleased with the Mosaic mainly because the staffing is Perfect!"
"I applied in June, and was approved in July. I did not accept the apartment because of the ridiculous security deposit that I was asked to pay. I put down a $200 holding fee when I applied. I have sent an email and I have called the office and spoke with Malik. I was told that a check was gonna be sent to me. It’s November and I am still waiting for my check.I am so glad that I dodged a bullet by not signing a lease with this property."
