Reviews of Claiborne Place Apartments
"Packages are being left down stairs instead of delivered to the person directly. These packages get stolen everyday and nothing is being done about it! You need to put a sign next to the mailboxes for all packages to go directly to the person! My uncle is paralyzed and it is very difficult for him! He just had several packages stolen and it was parts for his wheelchair! Can't you at least put camera's up!!! Something needs to be done so I pray that you do something about it! Thank you!"
"I wish I could give this place a negative number. Yes, a resident vandalized the building by flooding one side of it, but that has nothing to do with elevators constantly breaking down, at times trapping someone in them or door handles falling off the entrance door to the apartment, trapping someone in tbem. Residents should not have to report items needing repair multiple times. For over a month, I have been reporting my freezer door popping open and I have to keep it taped shut. That is a minor inconvenience though compaired to residents not having hot water to clean with or take a shower. Or other residents who have not had working A/C and reported it for months while other residents are freezing. The horror story of roaches and bedbugs are all true. Constant changing of managers and maintenance employees should not become the residents problem, yet Edgewood Management has used that excuse to residents as to why things were so bad. Requests for "reasonable accommodations" under the ADA go ignored or take over 8 months of constant fighting with management to be done. This building is designated for "seniors or disabled" so why does everyone have to fight for simple accommodations to be done?!? The excuse this building is so old does not fly. The building isn't even 50 years old and Annapolis is full of buildings much older. In my opinion, the problem is due to owners who dont want to put any more money into properly maintaining this building than legally required to do and never have given enough funds to the "skeleton" maintenance crew to properly maintain it. The parking lot is a joke. Parking is a joke. They have approximately 78 parking spaces for 175 apartments. I have had to call friends and family on several occasions to stay at tbeir homes because absolutely no where to park. Yet there are vehicles taking up spaces that are just used for additional storage and never go anywhere. Claiborne Place really has so many issues. These are constant as is the smell of illegal drugs and rules constantly being ignored. Or should I say the rules dont apply to all residents equally?"
"July 26, 2018, "The Capital" newspaper in Annapolis, Maryland, printed the following on page 1: " Residents air complaints about mushrooms, mold at apartments." " Water flows freely from an air-conditioning vent in the hallway and collects in the hall. A wheelchair - bound man is unable to operate the door of his apartment and sleeps with it wide open. Mold covers a wall in the bedroom...." Article written my Staff writer, Annie Linskey"
"This place has gone down hill very badly!!!! Changed management, maintains employees come and go , gets fired, the board of health needs to close that building down. Smells roach and bed bug infested! My friend has lived there 10 years and is finally moving the HELL out! Thank God, place needs town down and rebuilt and stricter who they let move in THERE! I won't and never will recommend it to ANYONE!"
