"If moldy apartments, leaking roofs and poorly insulated windows is your jam, Rosedale Park is an excellent place for you in Bethesda. I had to suffer living in this apartment complex for few years with a false hope from the property manager that issues would be fixed only to be lied and deceived at the end. Afterall you get what you pay for. I could go on lengths at describing how unpleasant my experience was at Rosedale but I will leave it up to time before this place crashes or shuts down due to poor maintenance and unethical practices of the property manager. Please save yourself some grace and seek a different place to live!"
"Not worth the hassle!! Stay away at all costs! If anything is broken or not working correctly don't expect them to come and fix it, at least not correctly. The staff is very unorganized, and has tried to charge me several times for parking spaces and utilities I've already paid for. They then go and blame Washington Gas or Pepco. Its happened so many times now that I can't help but feel I'm getting ripped off! I feel like every other week I have to contact them because something or other is not right on my bill. Its a very frustrating feeling! Management and Support Staff are unethical. Water bills double when monthly usage is consistent.Rent is outrageously high for no pool, no grills, shoddy maintenance, outdated apartments, security doors and garage doors always open and instances of pot smoking and drinking in the garage from outside intruders in parked cars, tiny gym and no communication from management via email ever about issues ranging from inconveniences, brown water causes, security concerns, routine maintenance or any other issue. You basically fend for yourself yet pay very high rent and then experience the maximum rental increase allowed each year there. My neighbors had mold growing like weeds in their apartments (3 neighbors experienced the same mold issues). The walls are paper thin (I could hear my neighbor snoring on one side of me and I could hear normal conversations on the other side). This place is a huge disappointment. I noticed that management was starting to get antsy about all the new apartments starting to lease in the area; nicer apartments with amenities that one would expect with Bethesda rent and new finish outs. Rosedale Park wont survive with all the new apartments opening around it and it will be forced to lower its standards with regard to tenants. Current residents should carefully look to the future regarding the quality of their neighbors in the complex when the complex can no longer compete and future renters should stay clear. Advice - heed the attitude and leave as fast as you can. You can't teach an old, obnoxious and unethical management company new tricks."
"I want to leave a review because I live in the Apartment Building and I was a bit put off by the earlier reviewer who was so negative. Rosedale Park is a very nice set of 2 apartment buildings. The buildings are very modern and are only about 12 or 13 years old. There is a Harris Teeter Grocery Store across the street (that also has a garage) I moved in here 4 months ago. My apartment is very nice. My appliances are new and everything works great. The soundproofing is excellent ! I hardly ever hear anything from the other apartments. There is a very nice underground garage connected to both apartment buildings that has plenty of parking for all the residents in the buildings and they charge the standard monthly rate that all the other newer apartment buildings charge, so no big deal. There are 2 METRO Stations near the building. One 5 Blocks North and one 8 Blocks South, both in walking distance. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that I am dealing with apt management on a neighbor that is smoking pot in his apartment in violation of the apartment building's "Smoke-Free" Policy. The apartment management is working with me on this issue and I do hope to have it resolved in a reasonable way in the near future. Otherwise, it's a great place to live and I have no other issues........."
"I don't know why the reviews for the complex is so low, so I figured I'd write an updated one. I've lived here for almost 8 months and have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. The building is still fairly new although some may say white appliances and carpet are a bit dated. Also, other than the gym there aren't really any amenities. There is a clubhouse room with some seating and a TV but that's about it. That being said, it's clean, quiet, and close to a lot of different restaurants and boutiques. The maintenance response is always same day and very quick. The staff is friendly. Package service is easy and convenient (although they occasionally forget to email you). I will say it's a little pricey, but I guess that's just Bethesda in general."
"Have lived at the Rosedale Park for a year. The apartments are the best in Bethesda for the price. The two building are approximately 10-years-old and are well-cared. Nice and clean. Large windows. A variety of plans. My 2-bedroom apartment is very nice and has a large walk-in closet. Kitchen is reasonably sized and convenient. Two bathrooms are nice and large; unusually large for typical apartments. Washer/dryer. Everything works fine. In 12 months, I have heard someone speak at a walkway outside of my door for less than a minute twice (probably just waiting the elevator); no any sound from other apartments. There is a nice common party room with a TV, a printer, nice seating areas, tables, and coffee open to residents 24 hours. See someone to study at the room sometimes. Nice and quiet. There is a small gym. Underground parking garage is huge, not very busy despite of few business, has a lot of open spaces, and well-kept. It has a good air circulation system keeping it dry and at a reasonable temperature around the year. A comparable apartment at newer apartments in Bethesda would be smaller and significantly more expensive. None issues in 12 months. Cats are allowed in North building. My only wish, the apartments would become completely pet friendly allowing dogs. Another wish: would be nice to have a roof top terrace. The apartment office and management staff are excellent. Willing to help, quick to reply to requests, professional, and nice and friendly. Looks like it is a nice place to work- staff have been at the apartments for long time and there is very nice and friendly atmosphere. Two maintenance people are great. Few small requests that I had (like turning off a gas fire place when the weather became warm, or checking temperature of a dryer) were completed in 24 hours and I did not have to be at home. Everything was done, cleaned (I would not notice that someone was at my apartment), and a note was at my door that the job was completed. I have spoken with residents who have lived at Rosedale for more than 10 years and like it still. Great apartments! Recommend without any reservation."
