Navy Gateway Inns & Suites Bethesda

"Very clean and spacious. Great price. Extremely convenient to Walter Reed, downtown Bethesda and DC. One of the nicer military lodgings we have stayed at. Definitely recommend."

"This is actually a very nice facility. The rooms are large and comfortable, clean and well maintained. There is a nice area to relax on the rooftop, and much of the campus is easily walked about. I'd happily stay here again. That being said, there are a few things that would be better changed. Most convenient outer doors are locked to entry, and do not allow entry even with room keys. Food within the hotel is still, at best, but I do appreciate the list of nearby facilities that do have reasonable food for eligible guests."

"The Navy Gateway Inn and Suites of Bethesda were excellent accommodations located on base. They provided great service and amenities. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There are hiking trails in the back that provide a welcome break from the bustle of the DC metro area. It is also a quick walk to the Navy fitness center or the USO."

"The Navy Gateway Inn rooms are immaculate, airy, and welcoming. The staff is professional, polite, and kind. There is no room service, but the front desk provided us with a set of menus from restaurants nearby that they you deliver to the property. The closets and bathrooms are spacious. There's always cool water in the lobby for when you're coming or going, and that's a lovely touch in the heat!"

"I am retired. I frequently stay at this hotel. The rooms are very nice, always clean, and affordable. Off base hotels are twice as expensive. The rooms have toiletries, hair dryers, and irons/ironing boards. There is a laundry room on each floor (very nice washers and dryers). There are vending machines to purchase laundry items. Each floor has a Day Room. The Day Room is a great place to relax, and it has a standard refrigerator, ice machine, stove/oven, and TV. If you ever encounter a problem while staying here, inform the staff immediately. All of the front desk staff (to include housekeeping ) are very friendly, and helpful 24/7. There is a small bar onsite (Below Deck). The bar has a limited menu. The food is good. The hotel is also a great place to stay because of its location for on, and off base services. You don't need a car to get around. There is a base shuttle, and Metro nearby. There is a shuttle that goes to and from the Metro during the week. I highly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay if you are traveling TDY, PCS orders, Retied/Space Available. There is early, and late check-in\check-out. Early check-in depends on the room being cleaned before early arrival (check with front desk staff)."
