"I toured this community about two months ago. The grounds were clean and the apartment was nice. I had no issues there. I applied and paid the $150 holding fee but unfortunately i was declined. I was told i’d be refunded the $150 i paid for the holding fee via a check in the mail. I assumed it would just be redeposited into my account but it wasn’t that big of a deal. I was approved for an apartment somewhere else and updated my address so I believe the check was mailed to this previous address. I emailed the office to see if that check could be canceled and another sent to my new address.. it’s been weeks and i haven’t heard anything back. I didn’t get approved with you guys and i’d really like my money back. The lady in the office was very nice but not receiving any correspondence from anyone about this is quite upsetting."
"Since moving to The Waldon's less than a year, it started off to a rough start. Most apartments were out of our budget and very unclean for the asking rent price. However, I came across The Waldon's and from the virtual tour guide and pictures of the apartment online, I thought it was the perfect place to reside, but boy was I wrong! PROS: So far, the ONLY advantage of the apartment is that it has convenient stores, fast foods and shopping centers less than 7 minutes away. The ONLY main area that caught our eye is the kitchen because the granite countertops and white cabinets are beautifully renovated. CONS: However, arriving to the apartment for the first time, it was NOT as excited as I thought it would be. First, when we walked into the apartment, the kitchen/living room area smelled like cigarettes (took a picture of the black and mild wrapper that was outside my doorstep), noticed that before moving in the A/C vent in the living room dripped water and ruined the paint in the living room wall, and the sliding door does NOT work properly. Next, walking into the bedroom, you will find the furnace room (which was NOT seen in the virtual tour guide) and it was full of spider webs. The bathroom door handle and cabinet knob were NOT screwed correctly and kept on detaching. The bathtub/showerhead looks VERY OLD. Now, the tub is ALWAYS getting clogged. Furthermore, the washer/dryer/heat water door handle is NOT screwed correctly and is found INSIDE the closet, which gives us barely any closet space and has an unprofessional look. In conclusion, when I brought all these issues to the Assistant Property Manager - Jordan Little, she apologized for NOT being satisfied with the apartment, but will have the maintenance team fix the issues that I mentioned. The maintenance team came and stated that they did not smell the cigarettes, but my husband is the witness of the smell. They advised they would put an air purifier to remove the smell. Then, they looked at the ruined paint in the living room wall and stated they will need to request the paint and repaint it .. (its been over four months and it has NOT been repaired). Till this day, we do NOT open the sliding door because we are avoiding getting "damage fees." Next, I advised the property manager of the furnace room being a danger hazard because it's inside the bedroom and it containing A LOT of spider webs (Maintenance Team cleaned the furnace room). However, she stated that you could see it in the virtual tour guide, but the furnace door is shown closed in the virtual tour guide .. NOT opened. Therefore, no one would know that the furnace room is INSIDE the bedroom. As for the bathroom cabinet doorknob, on a early morning Saturday, the maintenance person, bang on the front door very hard, which was disrespectful. A call notifying a maintenance person was stopping by to fix the requested issues would have been nice. As for the tub and closet, we will just have to deal with it until our lease ends. A couple months later, my husband and I arrived late to the apartment, but when it came to opening the front door with the key, the door jammed and the boarder broke off. However, I submitted a maintenance request and they just got five nails and screwed the broken boarder together. The maintenance person stated they will return to replace the broken boarder with a new one (it's been more than a month and it has NOT been repaired). In conclusion, besides the issues with the apartment, the MAIN issue is MANAGEMENT. The Avenue5 corporation and staff are ONLY interested in attending you when you are a potential tenant and moving-in tenant. After the lease is signed and tenant is moved in .. if you have issues the first few weeks of moving in, they will attend you, but after that you have a very slight chance of being able to reach a staff member via a call, email or in-person. I would advise before signing the lease with this apartment, make sure to read the WHOLE leasing contract because management will keep you bound to the contract until the lease ends."
""THE WALDON APARTMENT'S.. DON'T DO IT!" When we as tenant's sign a lease it is expected that we adhere to the leasing agreement however apartment leasing/management don't do their part. Good luck moving here.. they're never available (my mom called Sept. 2021 five to ten times and left voice messages the best they could do a week later was send her an email and explain how short staffed they were, that's always their issue (which is NOT TENANT'S PROBLEM- HIRE MORE STAFF)...and instead of them trying to get to the issue in your apartment they ONLY WANT TO PUT A BANDAGE ON IT WHICH IS TEMPORARY...FIND OTHER OPTIONS PLEASE***IF NOT GOOD LUCK LIVING HERE....**CLOSED SATURDAY'S AND SUNDAY'S**"
"My parents just moved from here and their apartment was invested with roaches. My parents kept a very clean place but no matter what was done, they couldn't get rid of them. When they moved, everything had to be thrown away. Gross and they want $1000 plus for those tiny roach invested places."
"We moved in a year ago . We never had a problem . We are allowed our cats which are very important to both of us they are my Therphy cats. I am in a wheeling chair and it's very easy for me to get in and out of my apartment because there are no steps for me I have not mastered them yes. I seen on here what the reg apartment looks like and I really like the changes. I love to see what a handicap apartment looks like so I can see if I need to stay in a handicap or move to a reg one bedroom in either case we plan on staying right here. Thank you for the wonderful changes. Yours Truely Mr.&Mrs.Ronald Rose 3823 Memory lane Apt F"
