"This apartment complex has really gone downhill in the last 2-3 months. There have been more than 3 instances where the power has gone out for 8+ hours and management has no updates on the issue, I have had groceries go bad and been without electricity for an entire working day. There have also been several instances where management has just spontaneously shut off the water supply fro 9-4pm during working hours (I work from home), so I have been unable to shower, have access to drinking water or flush the toilet ALL DAY - and again, staff at the office gave me an attitude when I expressed my irritation at 1) not being informed of this issue and 2) the inconvenience this has caused and not being provided a solution for it. Since Ruxton is trying to become this 'hip' place to live and match other apartments in Towson, they've had several construction projects going on throughout the building. One of them is happening directly next door to my apartment, starting as early as 7am and occurring throughout the day until 4/5pm. It is extremely loud, and when I complained to the office that I wasn't informed about the project, they said management doesn't have to tell tenants about construction in the apartment.... Trash shoots on each floor are WAY too small to fit a regular sized garbage bag, so you're forced to either squash it into the shoot or walk outside to the dumpsters. The pool is constantly closed due to lifeguard shortages too, and they increased their rent by $300 just to try and match other apartments nearby when Ruxton is definitely NOT worth $1800/month. To top that all off, my apartment's AC never works properly and I am constantly in a humid apartment in the middle of the summer heat. Do not live here!!!!!"

"We are retired and moved to Ruxton Towers after selling our house. It’s mostly good. Since we moved here, new owners have purchased the building and are making a lot of changes. They have greatly increased the rent and it is no longer the good deal it was when we first moved. They no longer do 2 year leases and seem to discourage long term occupancy. We do like living here, and hoped this would be our last move. We will have to see what the future brings."

"I lived here for two years while I was in school, 2018-2020. I really don’t have many complaints at all. Most of the staff were nice enough, some were very pleasant :) Building manager, Jeff, does his job very well and I was always very pleased with how well the grounds were kept. Maintenance almost always came the same day I requested them and fixed the issue. There were never any pests (rare to find pest-free apartment homes…), I think I saw maybe one spider the whole 2 years I was there! The front desk was really great about packages. I mostly got warnings before they shut off water or when they would be working on elevators. At least they kept those things maintained, unlike other apartment homes. I’d say the Ruxton is a very good standard for how tenants should be treated. I only wish they offered shorter leases for students."

"Moved here last week and loving it. Very clean, quite community, close to shopping and highway. Nice pool and tennis court. Mr Jeff is very helpful. Highly recommended. Oh and did I mention the great view from my balcony."
