"I have rodents in my walls for the last 2 months, and the exterminator/Maintenance coordinators continue to push the issue week by week. I will be making requests to agencies to correct this longer term issue, but I will not be renewing my lease once expired. Imagine living with rodents scratching in your walls for two months, running around in your ceiling, and running in the Air Ducts."
"I have reviewed Whispering Hills which is a Henderson-Webb property and I will be posting this in as many places as I can. Update 11/2/2023 - Maintenance/Rental Office has not rectified any issues I presented below, the biggest issue being leaks into my bathroom from the unit above. Despite contacting the email they referred to in the reply below, nothing has been addressed. They sent me a later stating repairs were made but as of today, I have another leak and they claim 'they couldn't find the issue' when maintenance came. There's water in the bucket that I have to now leave there because water can leak from the unit above at any time. THEY DO NOT CARE. DO NOT MOVE HERE. I cannot wait to leave, if I could leave sooner I would. Original Review: I have lived here for over a decade and I can confidently say that if you can find somewhere else, please do. The condition of these apartments has been on the constant decline for years. It was once a nice, quiet and friendly place to call home. That is no longer the case. The hallways used to be cleaned at least monthly, no longer. The controlled access door to the building is often broken. The laundry rooms are disgusting, I haven't washed there in years. Hot water will stop working at any time and they don't communicate when that happens. Mice were a problem at one point. Walls are thin and if you have noisy neighbors, do not look to management to help you remedy that situation, they simply send a letter and tell you to call the police if it persists. My apartment has sustained leaks from another unit off and on for over 6 months and all they have done is paint over parts until one leak was too extensive, they were forced to replace walls. At this point I'm waiting for another leak to happen because repairs aren't done properly and residents face no consequences for the damages they cause to other apartments. They won't compensate you for any damage to your property either. Maintenance is lackluster, a mixture of not enough people and the management asking them to patch as much as possible without actually repairing anything. Calling resident services is hit or miss, maybe you'll get someone who cares or maybe you'll get someone who can't be bothered with you and talks condescendingly to you. It feels as though they're doing you a favor by even helping you. I have explained my issues by phone, by email and by letter only for them to address none of my concerns, they are committed to providing as little help as possible. The one constant is that your rent will increase every year no matter what with no upgrading of anything. I dread calling them for anything because you will get nothing for your time but agony. The neighborhood itself is the only redeeming thing about this complex. It's a lovely area to be in but that's it. Rent is lower here for a reason, if you can tolerate all of the above, then this place is for you."
"High rodent infestations. Also expect an increase of rent with the situation not getting resolved. The excuse they give is "I have it noted here that you were not prepared and turned away exterminators". I turned them away after my baby attempted to eat the white powder placed. Rather have gotten my own exterminator and get reimbursed. They would have done the job with and placed all furniture back if able. Constantly emptying closets as a pregnant woman was the reason i went into labor. The mice litterally chewed away the paint at the bottom of the door. But you can tell by the layered paint that they simply repaint it after every tenant. Yuck. The back door to the patio wouldn't close fully. Meaning that the home was unsecured. The neighbors above us would let the dog urinate and defecate on the patio causeing anything we had outdoors to be ruined. Don't get me started on the smoke smell, my poor new born had to constantly breathe it in. The neighbor busted the glass outdoors getting into the building. Loud neighbors. The babies were constantly awaken. Waited a while to post this because I truly feel it wouldn't change anything. Wish I read the reviews before I moved in. Oh and warning ⚠️ the lease auto renews this is how they get you. Meaning after it was noted how miserable I was, I was stuck there to pay triple the cost because they didn't take the hint. And it wasn't a 90 day written notice. There is no reminder call or email. Because they are "too busy to keep up with us,"although I turned in the key as soon as the lease ended. Not sure if they got better. Rude attitudes from everyone. Police knocked on the door often. In search of people."
"This place has been the WORST place to ever have resided at. There was a rodent of some sort in my sons room in the wall. I called the emergency line many times and there was zero sense of urgency. You could hear claws scratching on the inside of the wall of something trying to get out.. it was terrifying when I would go feed him a bottle in the middle of the night. Then the power goes out and the microwave stops working. No maintenance people have come out to look at it yet. How do you heat up food for your family without a microwave? You don’t. You have to stay elsewhere for a few days. But don’t worry you’ll still be paying an insane amount of money for rent. 10/10 do NOT recommend living here. Prices are insane and you definitely don’t get what you pay for. So disappointed to call this place home. Counting down the days til the lease is up."
"Neighborhood is decent. These people that manage this properties do little to nothing for trash that’s littering the ground. Including nails that I’m constantly looking out for or paying to have them removed it of my tires. My neighbor also has an apartment that’s infested with mold which Henderson web has yet to address either. Definitely not staying another year do yourself a favor do not rent from this company"
