"When we first moved here, we loved it. However, some tenants are not responsible and courteous of surroundings and of time. 1st, I've seen a couple of dog poops on the grass. Sometimes they're hard to see because they blend in with the grass especially at night. There's no walkway to the parking lot so your chances on stepping on it is high. 2nd, the loud music playing at midnight. It's not all the time but when someone plays it, you'll wake up because of the loud music and it's bass vibrates through your pillow. I've submitted complaints. The office sent a public notice about dog poop but seems like some tenants with dogs ignore it. I've submitted a couple complaints regarding the loud noise but haven't seen a public notice or reminder."

"I was moving from out of state and planned to make Lerner Black Hill our next home. My husband and I found a unit we were interested in, with an availability date that worked with our move timeline. We applied, paid the application fee, paid a HOLDING deposit and paid a security deposit. Our application was accepted and a lease was being drafted. The purpose of the holding deposit, as defined in Lerner’s own written word, was to hold the specific unit we applied for. At this point, we had paid over $2,000 to Lerner. It was then that we were suddenly and unexpectedly notified that the unit we had paid a holding deposit for was no longer available. We were told that the current tenant, who had provided a notice to vacate, decided to stay. We then had a series of frustrating and deeply disappointing conversations with the property manager in which absolutely no attempt was made on Lerner’s end to make things right or whole by any means. We were operating on a specific timeline based on our move schedule, dates to begin a new job, etc., and options for another unit in which the lease didn’t start for several more weeks were unacceptable. We then had to scramble to find a place to live at the very last minute, while at the same time corresponding with Lerner’s very rude staff and waiting for them to return our money. I have never been so disappointed, frustrated, disheartened and maddened by a situation as this one."

"Amazing community. The people in the leasing office are always happy to help. Most important of all mazing gym. The people at the leasing office are always putting on event for the community which takes lots of planning and effort which tells me they care."
