Reviews of Milestone Apartment Homes
"This place is absurd. I lived here for a year, and it was bizarre. The unit itself was very nice, but that was about it. The grounds were lovely when we first moved in, but they quickly went downhill in maintenance after new management took over. The dog park is a giant litter box, and no one walks their dogs on a leash (and only a handful pick up after their pets). The dumpsters are disgusting and overflowing. Maintenance leaves appliances sitting in breezeways for months. The leasing office tried to do a mass unit check for cleanliness and how items were stored in homes, which was insane and also unorganized. Residences needed to basically be free at a minute's notice to pen a dog or just allow maintenance to walk through their home unattended. Meanwhile, parking lots are full of guest vehicles for weeks at a time, literally dozens of commercial work vehicles, and broken-down vehicles without any action from management. But those vehicles never get towed even though the complex has a "strict" towing enforcement policy. I've had packages accidentally delivered here after moving out (that's on me) but it is now impossible to get in touch with this place to try and actually try and get them. The phone number on their website and on Google just goes to an automated message that says that the servicer no longer services the business and hangs up. Neat. So, you can't get in touch with anyone unless you physically drive to the leasing office, which people don't have time for."
"This complex was certainly not worth the cost of rent. The interior was nice, and open floor plan with plenty of counter space, but the exterior of the complex was a different story. The management changed during our lease and it certainly got worse. The maintenance staff are always leaving beat up appliances under the stairs. Some for months at a time. The dumpsters are always a dumping ground of household junk and overflowing. There is dog poo everywhere, and the dog park is DISGUSTING. People use it as a litter box more than a play area. There are always a group of kids at knight who find different stairwells to hang out in, and play loud music and smoke late at night. We also had homeless sleeping in our stairwell. There is just a general lack of care from everyone and it’s noticeable. It would be okay if rent was cheaper, but it just goes up and the complex does little to rectify the situation. Also the car towing thing is disgusting at this complex. There are old beat up cars that get left for months and never move, but if you are 3 days late on registration they are predatory about towing. I was told that explicitly by the tow company (by law they can tow after 3 days) but the state won’t tow off a street if it’s less than 6 months past. We moved in during covid from out of state, so getting new tags wasn’t so easy, but they didn’t care and the apartment’s stance is they don’t profit off towing so they can’t do anything. But it is a contract and negotiation between complex and tow company, they can do something."
"This is by far probably one of the worst nonchalant apartment complexes I have ever lived at. Its been a history of cars being vandalized and destroyed in this neighborhood with no action being taken from the leasing office management. My mother’s car along with other residents have been broken into and the leasing office has shown no sympathy towards their residents vehicles. My car was stolen today, and when I brought it to the leasing offices attention the rebuttal was very nonchalant. I believe if your residents are coming to you complaining about their vehicles an action should be taken seriously such as posting security cameras around the neighborhood so people atleast get a peace of mind. The excuse is, is that since they are a third party its nothing they can do .. if you really cared about your residents property while being on YOUR premises you would try to contact somebody higher up so they can take more precautions on this. How many more cars need to get broken into and stolen for Milestone to make a change around here. Mind you this situation has happened less then two in a half weeks. I am so disappointed. I would think twice before moving here, try a neighborhood that actually cares about the residents concerns and will do something to make a change."
"I want to commend Bhavna for the easy and quick move in experience. She was flexible with all my needs and also maintained amazing communication throughout the process regardless of their phone system requiring you to leave a voicemail. Wether I left a voicemail or an email she would respond within minutes either by phone call or email. Our unit is beautiful and spacious and the community is quiet. I can see lots of families are here and I’m excited to be here with mine. The gym is pretty good but does need some updating. There are some broken machines that need to be fixed since there is a amenity fee. All in all A+ 5/5. We are enjoying our experience here."
"I have never had such a horrible experience with a rental apartment. You can never reach them via phone once you move in. They are the ones who take $2k as security deposit which is very high. After returning the apartment in better condition than we received it in, we got only 40% of the deposit returned. When you move in they make you check every corner of the house but when you move out there isn't a checklist. They decide on what to cut your deposit for. Please do share if it resonates with you and think about taking next steps as if we don't object, they will get away with whatever they decide unanimously. They keep increasing the rent every year which is ridiculous."
