"5/5 First time here and It won’t be my last! Anderson was our server and I was amazed at the level of passion he had for Ramen. He made me first comfortable and confident in my decision and It didn’t disappoint. I got the spicy creamy vegan ramen and It was delicious. & not to mentioned the kid menu was one of the best I have come across! Run don’t walk to JINYA Ramen!"
"The address says it’s on Dahlia Street but the entrance is off of Georgia Ave. We had trouble finding it at first, so be mindful of that. The ambiance is somber and relaxing. Definitely a nice vibe. The service was great from the hostess to the server. The Ramen was pretty tasty too. I don’t eat pork, but I do enjoy Ramen with pork broth. I asked if the pork could be swapped for an extra egg, but I had to pay for the extra egg. I wasn’t a fan of that, but it is what it is. The bowls the Ramen came in were nice too. I didn’t like that the bathroom only has the air dryer. They should also have paper towels as well, not everyone likes using those air dryers."
"Every bite of my three course meal was packed with flavor and exactly what was needed to fill my midday hunger pains. The star of the show was the Shrimp Wonton Ramen which was served with thick noodles and wontons stuffed with shrimp and pork. Now that I have been introduced to this spot, I'll definitely be hitting up the location in Arlington, VA more regularly. S/o to Nick and Mercedes for providing such great customer service during my visit."
"I've had the pleasure of visiting various Jinya locations in the DMV area, and I must say, this particular location surpassed the others in terms of ambiance, flavor, and service. We had the pleasure of dining during their soft opening this past weekend, and I truly hope that they'll maintain the level of quality in the long run. Our experience was made even better by our waitress, Jocelyn, who was simply amazing. She paid great attention to detail and was incredibly friendly. Her recommendations for small plates and beverages were spot on. Our undying love for their crispy chicken is what brings us back to Jinya, so naturally, we had to order it. Jocelyn also suggested the Takoyaki, octopus balls, and I'm so glad she did. The battered octopus over egg tartar, garnished with mayonnaise, okonomiyaki sauce, freshly cut green onions, and smoked bonito flakes, was an absolute delight. I was initially concerned it might be too salty with all the sauces, but it turned out to be perfectly balanced! :) For our main course, we opted for the Tonkotsu Black Ramen, our favorite. The broth was rich and bursting with flavor, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The chashu pork was tender and incredibly flavorful. My husband decided to add a little extra heat to his ramen by requesting spicy sauce on the side, which gave it a delightful kick without overwhelming the palate. He also ordered an extra serving of crispy chicken to dip into his ramen, and I went for the Brussels sprouts as an extra topping. Although I intended to eat the Brussels sprouts with the ramen, their incredible flavor led me to enjoy them separately – they were that good! We had four different drinks, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic cocktails. While I can't recall their names, I can confidently say that they were all truly amazing. I strongly recommend trying out their cocktails; they're a delightful complement to the meal. You need to street park or park in the garage under Whole Foods."
"We went for the soft opening on Saturday. This has potential to be one of our favorite spots. The food was excellent with great attention paid to detail and the service was the same--I appreciate any restaurant that is conscious enough to make sure kids' meals come out first and your child is taken care of, so that you can enjoy your food. We started with the pork gyoza and spicy tuna mini-tacos--both were excellent and full of flavor. We tried the Lychee Strawberry Not-a-Margarita and the Toropikaru, the former was floral and twangy and the latter was really tasty and reminiscent of a homemade fruit punch. The kids meal was huge and came in stages; our child loved the flavor and, two days later, is still working on it. We got the Tonkatsu and the Cha Cha Cha (opening special ramen). We had looked at the menu with some skepticism about the listed prices, but when we saw what came out it was so much food. You could not call it anything but a value and you should plan to bring some home. Both ramens were very well executed and not only highly flavorful, but complex. The fresh garlic, brought out with a press, to add to the Cha Cha Cha really took it to the next level. The chicken ramen from the kids meal really had the chicken flavor infused into it. None of these dishes had light flavors. It was perfect for a rainy cold Saturday. For dessert we tried the chocolate and green tea mochi ice creams, the panna cotta was out. If you like mochi ice cream, it is the standard kind. The kids meal comes with a vanilla ice cream, which was garnished with a mint leaf and our child enjoyed. I highly recommend this restaurant to you, we will be back."
