"The people here really care about dogs. They care about them as dogs too. They understand that personification is fun and all, but thinking your dog is a human type child isn't going to help you train them. We've used them as trainers, the doggy daycare, and to board everything has been turning out great so far. We've seen a lot of improvement with our youngest Boo. They have really helped us a lot in getting her socialized around other dogs and people more. They have even been willing to help her get used to being in a small plane during some private sessions. Give them a try, I know the building isn't the most beautiful, but they do a fantastic job."
"I worked here as a tech. I had some health problems come up and my dog Jax who was left with my family during my hospitalization had a bite.My family dropped Jax off at Independent K9 since I worked there for safety reasons. Independent K9 said Jax was choosing to bite for no reason and sent certified mail saying Jack should be euthanized. When talking with my mom and gathering information I found out Jack was heavily panting, lip and nose licking, drooling, barking, holding a paw lifted, scratching, yawning his body language was tight, and he had whale eye. This was a stressed dog who had stuff going on I was unaware of at home that I believe to be a contributing factor to the bite while I was hospitalized .I lost something irreplaceable, blessedly for me he was not euthanized.Another trainer picked him up. In the time she has had him he has had no signs of aggression with people or animals and is still continuing in the service dog work I started him in,but now for someone else. When I got his blankets back they smelled STRONG of urine Jax is fully potty trained…. His teeth had metal on them as if he had been chewing the impact create, he is not a create chewer a barker yes but a chewer no. My guess is between the blankets covered in his urine in the metal on his teeth they left my dog in the equivalent of solitary confinement for the weeks he was their in their care. I will not be returning to work there nor will i consider ever leaving any of my dogs there."
"I took my 11 month old Standard Poodle to Erin, Jess, and Caitlin for the board and train four week program. Cody had typical young dog issues that needed work, AND he was an incessant barker. When I saw him for the first time at pick up, I knew he was not the same dog I had dropped off. Cody had been a disaster on lead, high strung and an embarrassment to have out in public. Now, Cody goes with me to work, holds his sit, down, and place on command, and NO MORE BARKING! Cody is always receiving complements on his behavior when we are out. He walks next to me, and the leash is always loose. Erin was able to fit us in quickly for which I am grateful. The communication with photos and email report cards was excellent, as was the training. The package price fits the quality of the training and aftercare received, and you get what you pay for. If you want to transform your dog and enhance your relationship with your dog, then this is your program. You have to commit to the continued training (which is provided in the board and train) after and work at home as well which they will train you to be able to do it with confidence. I look forward to going on to do more advanced training with Erin and her team, and recommend them to anyone who wants to make an incredible investment in their companion."
"We have been working privately with Erin since Spring of this year and we could not be more pleased with the progress we have made with our Great Pyrenees. She clearly has a gift and takes great personal pride in helping each person and canine she works with. Erin is honest, incredibly insightful and wonderful to work with. Can not say enough about her! Above and beyond the best trainer we have found."
"Erin has been our trainer for sometime now. She is nothing but professional caring and very understanding with our Shepherds. We board with her from time to time and our Shepherds love her and have no issues be it in the many classes we have had with her and her staff or when she watches over them. And the Wednesday social class she holds is a great day for our pups who enjoy that to the max. I have had Shepherds for many years and have had other trainers. I must say the philosophy that Erin instills is a great match for my family and our Shepherds. She will take time with you and wont make you feel like your a number but part of a family."
