"Rooms are clean, front desk friendly, breakfast people can be a little testy if you want seconds. They turn off pancake machine 30 minutes before breakfast is over."

"I will never stay here again. The room was nice BUT the hallway had the worst smell. Like perfume or heavy cleaner covering up a bad smell. It was to the point our clothes smelled like it. Also, the toilet was clogged and when we called the front desk we were told maintenance didn’t get in until 10am the next day. They gave us a plunger and it took my husband 40 minutes of plunging to get it unclogged."

"We had a great stay here. The location was great, the staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and well laid out. We much preferred the layout of these rooms to a traditional hotel room. The breakfast was also as good as any continental can be. We had no complaints, and if we need to stay in this area again, we'll be back."

"2 Nights solo traveler, October 27-29, 2023. I would not recommend nor stay here again Mediocre hotel. Room B-225 - back of the hotel, far from check-out, breakfast and gym. Parking at night was a bit sketchy in the back, so I parked closer to the front and walked further. If the weather was cold or rainy/snowy, this would have been quite cumbersome. The room was clean and spacious, with a full kitchen. However my room had a missing privacy curtain, so the drapes had to remain closed. Drapes were old and tattered with holes. The bed sheets, clean, were also old and had holes. The breakfast was your free, standard, high-carb American breakfast: pancakes, cereals, breads, etc. Check-in (although the check-in guy gave me a sub-par room) and check-out was efficient. . $5/night parking Convenient location close to restaurants, shops, freeway."

"Sonesta is a pleasant extended stay hotel. The kitchenette and living room area are comfortable. There is a desk with a desk chair in the living room. My specific mattress was a bit worn in and slightly lumpy. As previous reviewers said, the bathroom definitely needs an update, specifically the shower/tub situation. As another reviewer said, the smoke detector lights are VERY bright and blink quite frequently. I had thought this was a weird mention by a previous poster but after experiencing it, I would say they are definitely noticeable. The hotel is well kept and clean with very pleasant staff. The breakfast is nice in the morning with coffee, bagels, pancakes, cereal, and traditional egg breakfast. There is a nice gym and a courtyard. The hotel is quiet and there are showtime channels on the television. The internet went out a couple of times during my two weeks stay. Perhaps it could be related to the construction going on beside the hotel. One of those times it stopped working in the early evening and was fixed by the time I woke up. The parking fee was definitely a hidden fee in my case. I did not see any mention of this fee months ago on their website, nor was this fee disclosed to me when I booked my reservation over the phone with one of the employees. $5/ night with $35/week is definitely steep considering the fact that there is plenty of parking around. This is incredibly frustrating."
