"I grew up in a rural part of Appalachia. One of my fondest childhood memories involved the Schwan Man, who would always stop down at my Pop’s house to bring spicy chicken and bomb-pops for us. I have a vivid memory of one hot summer day when the Schwan man came. My little sister and I chased him down the hill to my Pop’s house in bare feet. We caught him talking to my Pop and he said “would you girls like to see some fairy dust” and he scooped a bunch of shaved ice bits from the back of his truck and threw it up in the air for us to dance around in. It’s been more than 20 years now and we lost my Pop in 2005, but I can still feel the cool ice on my hot skin and hear my Pop calling us down over the hill to get bomb pops out of the freezer."

"I placed and online order using Schwan's Pay and then called customer service to confirm that everything was a go for the products to be left in freezer bags while I was at work. I was told everything was fine. Then when it was time for delivery I was told that they do not deliver first orders (my previous orders were in another city) using schwan's pay. I should have been told that on the website or by customer service. Apparently every location has different rules. This location would not work with me even though I had been a loyal customer for years at another location. I would not recommend them to anyone. Do no work with Thomas or Elaine. The only upside was the VERY nice representative I spoke with at corporate who agreed that I should have been notified that every office is different when I placed the order. I am so disappointed in them. Now they are costing me half a day of work to go and buy everything I need for the party tomorrow when it was all to be delivered today. I do NOT recommend them at all."
