Motel 6 Frederick, MD - Fort Detrick

"I mean look if you're expecting a non-smoking room, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. So the AC does do pretty well at filtering out the air in the room so if you show up while you're unloading your car and set the AC to high and just let it run on cool by the time you're done bringing up your luggage the room will be smelling at least clean. Most of the people here are decent people, yes just like every other "cheapest hotel in the area" you're going to wind up with some disappointments. However I have found it to be relatively simple so long as you treat them with respect they will treat you the same way and if they don't well then you know you have essentially two choices one is to walk away two is to teach them in their own language to keep their opinions to themselves especially if you are respectful. The people usually at the service desk are helpful. Not I work at the Four Seasons and I'm willing to do anything you ask me to type helpful but helpful enough for a Motel 6. They have done some improvements over the years. At least the elevator works, years back it didn't always work. To be quite honest I was pleasantly surprised. I remember having some negative experiences over the years with this hotel under different management under different names but in general I've had problems anymore, I was there almost 2 weeks and I can't say that I had any serious problems that I remember. If you have her what's about you this is a completely safe place to stay. Enjoy your vacation guys!"

"Due to an error at the front desk, I was checked in for only one night, not the two I had reserved. My belongings were then removed from the room and have never been found, and the customer service department told me it was my fault for abandoning the items. Worse, the front desk said the belongings had never been found in the room at all. I lost a few hundred dollars worth of stuff, and had to buy new electronics like phone charger and plug."

"Not to bad for the price you pay, I do think if the staff took more pride in keeping the rooms clean, they would have more business!!! Every room I ever had the walls in the shower look like they have never been cleaned!!! I have been in worse places, so for as cheep as they are it's not a bad deal. Could charge more money by doing a few small things to improve, but I don't think anyone that works at a motel 6 has anykind of enthusiasm in making anything better. They staff look like and act like they hate their job and their life. Not very plesent people at all!!!"

"All bad. Nothing worked. Ac unit leaked over night leaving a puddle of water on the floor which ruined my clothes. Door lock was not working easy access in and out of my room. I was on the bottom floor, the only working ice machine was on the third floor. With my disability I couldn’t get ice. Mind you, this was my second room, they had to move me, because the first room had bugs!..Hey Motel 6 corporate or management team, make your company look better than this. At this point I just want half of my money back!"
