"Rooms have a thermostat you can’t control it’s 75 degrees outside and 85 inside not worth saving a penny to stay here 10/10 do not recommend"

"I wish I could give this hotel a 0/5, but I can't! The customer service at the Clarion Inn Frederick Evet Center was the worst I've ever had! I booked a room at this hotel for my 18 year old son. He just needed a hotel room for one night during his travels. Before booking the room, I asked if they had any age restriction. I was told that the age for check-in was 18. With that said, I proceeded to book a room. The customer service rep, Sigrid sent me a credit card authorizations form and I signed and completed the form and returned it to the Front Desk. When my son arrived to check-in, Sigrid turned him and way and said that the 21 was their age restriction. Sigrid never called to inform me that she was cancelling my reservation nor did she send me email. My son was stranded in Frederick, MD and NO assistance from Sigrid a the Clarion Inn Frederick Event Center. Sigrid was also rude and hung the phone up on my husband."

"I would avoid this place at all costs! Stayed a week for a funeral..you should not make our mistake This place is a tv horse betting bar. That’s why the few locals who come do so and it sets the tone for the whole nasty place. Our room: thick peeling paint on the ceiling revealing nasty stained old curling tiles, stained carpet throughout the entire hotel, noisy air conditioning. Toilet wobbly on shims, heavy leak in tub, plugged drains, down comforters in summer. Ugh. The building was not locked at night. Stunk like cigarettes and pot. After 3 days we asked why housekeeping had not come to our room and discovered we had to request it. We were not told this at any previous point. Housekeeping left our room open unlocked, the door just barely pulled shut, one day, after returning from an entire day of family funeral obligations . The only bright spot, was the exasperated staff, who managed to deal with this mess politely."

"Stayed and room smelled like mildew and a tile was falling off wall. Asked to move to another room. The second room didn’t smell but didn’t clean room or make beds for our three day stay. Provide one small soap for three days without checking if need more. Had to ask for towels. They delivered towels but not empty the garbage or leave another bath mat. The rooms look very outdated. I would recommend staying no more than overnight."

"The front desk lady was extremely helpful. She gave us plenty of helpful advice on places to visit. Great location close to many things. The room was clean and spacious. Impressed with the in room keurig. They have a cute little mini golf course. Unfortunately the pool is not open."
