MedStar Health: Urgent Care at Waugh Chapel

"Made an appt after feeling horrible for a weeks, bad mood after work just wanted help. Had 6 pm appt, got there at 530pm and had preregistered. Was seen and out the door with X-rays, nebulizer treatment and prescriptions for acute left lung pneumonia 90 minutes after appt time. Received 6 prescriptions. I think that is amazing. Everyone was nice, even though I was in bad mood, x-ray tech lady and especially provider Newell, Pa-C Khajae Monique They were nice too me and helped me quickly, impressive"

"I was a walk-in patient on January 9th. The front desk staff were helpful and supportive.. It was a busy day with a 3-hour wait. I was offered other options for care but decided to wait. The provider was thorough, and courteous."

"Aside from being irritated I had to do most of the check-in, it was an outstanding experience. Everyone was pleasant, helpful and the practitioner I saw needs to follow me around. He was on point and so nice. It was worth the drive coming from DC to be seen."

"My past experience here have been good usually quick in and out. But today i was waiting for almost 3 hours… AND i had an appointment. What’s the point of doing an appointment if you’re just gonna end up waiting an hour. They took a covid test and said it only takes a minute but i’ve been waiting in here for an hour and they still haven’t walked in. I would understand if they were busy but there’s only like two other people here. I’m very disappointed."

"I was there 26 Dec 2023. It’s was a serious wait time pass my appointment time. The receptionist was not rude but she could learn a thing or two about customer service. I say these because one of the nurses came out saying she wanted to eat, so the receptionist says loudly enough for me to hear” Go eat they can wait”. Mine you this was already a hour past my and other’s appointment times. But once I was back the service was top notch. Nurse that took my vitals had laughing. The Dr was very informative about my diagnosis and the meds she was prescribing me. But for the receptionist I have to take 2 stars away. Customer service is truly important this day and time and some people have forgotten that!!!!!"
