"I gave it one star because I had no choice. I would give it none if I could. I worked in this store From February 24th up until today September 12. I was interviewed by a manager who was working there at the time and was told that she had to hire a new team because everyone had quit. When I got hired she was no longer working there because she had quit as well. At 1st the staff that WERE employed at show carnival seemed friendly. I got along with everyone great. A whole new team was hired and we were like one big family. But a new manager was hired named Taylor and the game changed. Slowly but surely the assistant managers and some associates who were employed at Shoe Carnival started to quit. A lot of them had issues with taylor so i was told. I was warned that Taylor was not who she seemed and that she wasnt my friend. Taylor was cool and compromised with me when it came to needing a day off and I never had a problem with her, that is...up until today. A raffle took place in July and we were told by Taylor that friends and family could participate. Apparently that wasn't true. 3 of us including myself got fired today because we benefited from this raffle. A raffle we were told we can Have friends and family participate in. Taylor, The manager, Also benefited from this raffle just like the rest. She gets to keep her job though because she lied and denied everything. Now I understand why all the previous employees had quit. We weren't even lead off with a warning we were just straight fired no matter what was said. Shoe Carnival is an unfair place to work. They lack communication and because of it employees get fired. I think it was absolutely unfair to get fired on the spot and not even get lead off with a warning. Not even a write up...just straight fired. So taylor gets to keep her job and I, along with 2 otheremployees get fired for doing what our manager told us to do. I don't recommend this place for anyone to work. This is a bad company to work for and I came here in hopes to grow in this company. I was promised an A.S.M position and was just given the run around. They are unfair and unprofessional. I worked really hard here and I feel I wasn't appreciated enough as an employee. I was also promised a raise and instead the hours were cut. This company will hire you and never promote you. There is no opportunity for growth here. So sad because I looked forward to going to work all the time until everyone started quitting and I realized why."

"THIS IS NOT AT WHITEHALL MALL!!! DO NOT USE ADDRESS HERE ON GOOGLE. Just head to buybuybaby or bed bath and beyond its in the same plaza there across from the mall. But overall besides trying to find this place the people were great and girl who helped me was really helpful and cool."

"Inventory selection was low. One cashier, the other employee was filling sodas. More interested in signing people up for the rewards then checking people out waiting in line. Highly unlikely this location will be open in another year."

"Went here with the wife because we had a $10 coupon off coupon. While looking for shoes the employee randomly announced that for the next 30 minutes only you can get buy 1 get one 1/2 off. Great service. Plus the added promotion on top of the discount was a bonus. She selection is decent for men's shoes. They have a selection of work shoes, boots, hiking shoes, casual dress shoes, and athletic shoes. This place is worth the try if you are looking for new shoes."
