"On 8/29/2023 at 2:10 PM, I was refused service at the Le's Nails and Spa in Columbia Mall. I knew that something was not quite kosha when I placed my feet in the basin and no additives to treat my feet were added until I mentioned that no foot conditioner had been deployed to the water by the nail tech. The nail tech appeared to have a negative attitude from the outset. I asked her to please not cheat me with her service. There were other signs that she did not want to serve me as a paying customer as well. The nail tech eventually told me that she was not going to provide any services to me at all and reiterated that more than once. I don't know if is because I am African American. Or, because I am a Black man but she was sincere. She refused to give me a pedicure. So, being frustrated and feeling like I am living back in Jim Crow America I walked to the other end of Columbia Mall and entered Nail Trix where I was treated like a King. I was greeted with smiles and got the royal treatment. I received the basic pedicure with added oil treatments, a hot stone rub downs on both of my legs and feet, a hot mud mask on my feet as well as several other fine touches coupled with great conversation. It was a very pleasant experience. I felt like I had been treated with dignity and respect from a person that loves her position of making her customers happy and more than satisfied. I highly recommend Nail Trix in Columbia Mall if you desire to be taken care of like you are somebody!"

"If u go here do NOT goto mimi….she does not care looked me right in my face did not buff my hands did not get all my fingers rushed the services like where else do i start it was horrible…i asked her to buff me out she said “no thank u leave it like that” like maam im paying you its one thing if u never been somewhere better but another thing if you went somewhere and got your moneys worth….rushed service snd when u ask her to fix something she smiles and says no like she does not understand….should have went up the street….im upset i came"

"The actual manicure was fine BUT take a look at my nails not even 24 hrs. later. Every single nail chipped except 2. I have not been doing anything to cause this like scraping something, eating crabs, etc...I get regular polish and I forgot I stopped getting a manicure here because of that reason every since the pandemic. I use to go pre-pandemic & my polish would last a wk +. I don't know if they are putting thinner in the polish trying to stretch it but back to not getting my manicures there. Maybe for gel & other types it may be fine because the lady up front is always pushing gel. But I do not recommend for regular polish unless you are in a bind & going wherever you have to go in hrs. because you will not have long before they start to chip."

"I got an acrylic set that was very disappointing. The nail tech did a very sloppy job and seemed unconcerned about getting paint on my fingers, not capping the nails with paint, and shaping the nails very badly. I normally don’t ask nail techs to correct my nails but they looked so bad that I had to ask her to fix them three times. She “fixed” them each time by quickly filing them down and they still looked awful by the time I left. I would not go back."

"My sister and I went here to get our nails done for my wedding. It was an awful experience. Unfortunately the place is understaffed, and we didn’t know that before we agreed to getting a mani and pedi. Both woman that worked on our nails also worked on a few other customers while we were there. Their juggling between customers caused us to be there for almost 3 hours. And it ended up turning out horribly for both of us. We showed photos of what we expected and what we ended up getting was trash. Not only were the quality of nails poor, their customer service was even worse. I’m not trying to slander their business, I just wish that they had more respect for their customers, they were also rude to one another which was really off putting. It was not cleanly and the pedi water was cold. My sisters nails looked bloated. The pink nail didn’t match the tip color. She also glued every finger nail and scratched me every time she adjusted it. They barked at each other, and gave a lot of attitude. They only talked in the end, giving a bunch of strange compliments to get a tip.. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE"
