"Wonderful experience today kayaking at Basha Kill. Have hiked the area twice. Best bet is to paddle to the left when leaving the boat launch. Don't paddle over the short dam though unless you got a way to get back over! Went to the winery across the street. So nice with good music on Sunday afternoon. Bought 2 bottles to go, next time I'll stay."
"Pure ecstasy for nature lovers especially if the paddling breed. The swift's will greet you overhead, the sunbathing turtles almost at every bend, and the bald eagles who nest there will keep you ever vigilant with binoculars in hand. Pickerel plant, swamp strife, button bush, and pinkweed line the channel. Come tired, return refreshed."
"Beautiful area to kayak. Lots of drugs turtles and vegetation. We saw eagles as well. They were beautiful to observe. On one of my trips I even had a dragonfly take a rest on my hand for a few minutes."
"Lovely spot for a completely flat and shaded nature walk on the edge of the Catskills. Watch out for snakes! Visit with your kayak or canoe to paddle through the high growth in the marsh. After exercising, indulge in adult beverages in the lovely garden across the road at the Basha Kill Winery."
