"It is rather disappointing that the lake is only accessible with residents passes. I mean, it is not really evident until you get there. my kids were devastated that they can see/ hear kids by the water from the parking lot, but cannot go there. So BE AWARE since it's not anything that's super clear from reviews, I really tried finding information online if this swimming spot was public or not but it's not that clear. The playground is nice, albeit would be great to have some shade. Bathrooms are available, a hiking trail and a wonderful refreshing brook (thank G-d for that! this heat....)"

"Very nice park with good landscaping. Well-equipped playground. Pavilion for rent seats well over fifty attendees. On the lawns are stationary grills, and there is a pond in which visitors sail remote-controlled sailboats. On April 25th, 2022 Dutchess County's chapter of Moms for Liberty convened here."

"Went today for a day trip to get some fresh area and was very pleasantly surprised at everything offered. There was ample parking (it is in the grass, but I didnt mind), a baseball field, very nice playground, very clean bathrooms (was immaculate when we went in, I almost couldn't believe it), and a great kids hiking trail! We went for the Little Woods trail and it was perfect. Trail was clear amd mostly level (there is a small hill about mid way and a few sections of uneven ground, but very duable) and had a bunch of fun educational signs and kid activities along the way. It was maybe a mile or a mile and a half but with stopping (there are benches along the trail to sit and rest if needed) it took about 2 hours to complete with a 4 year old. The trail is in the woods so sun wasnt an issue. It was quite peaceful as well. There is a lake there for swimming but only pass holders or day pass holders who are residents are allowed, which is the only reason for the 4 stars. Overall great place, will go back again soon!"
