"Just experienced racism at sports clips. The Manager informed me that her hair stylists was uncomfortable cutting my hair because she was still new. I’m black, she cut everyone else’s hair - white, Latino, even Asian. They had me wait for 1hr until the black hair stylist was available to cut my hair. What a shame. Update after the store’s response: The Store Manager at the time of my visit communicated the new stylist wasn’t comfortable, but fell short of saying the reason - which it’s clear was my ethic hair. After the store manager explained the dilemma, she told me it would be either HER (also white) or another stylist (who was black) that would cut my hair. I was the next person “on deck”, and the in store manager proceeded to skip over me and cut the next gentleman’s hair. So is the manager on duty also uncomfortable with ethnic hair? Was that her reason for not cutting my hair, and instead sending me to the black stylist? I look forward to your response, store owner."

"I’ve been going to this place for 10 years, and I’ve gotten a few rough haircuts, but nothing so bad that I needed to leave a review. I went in yesterday to get my hair trimmed. It was quite long, and I liked the style, I just wanted it cleaned up. I even provided a reference image. Instead, I got the most unprofessional haircut I’ve ever received. It looks like someone who’s never cut hair before did it. The front is uneven and un-textured, the sides are disproportionately short, and the top is way too long. It just looks plain stupid. To make matters worse, the barber got my hair so wet before cutting it, I had no idea what it looked like until it was too late. Water was dripping down my face the whole time, and even got my shirt soaking wet. I’ve got an important job starting in a few days, and now I’ve gotta go somewhere else to get this fixed, even though the haircut was $30. Unbelievable. Lost a long term customer. If you go here, I’d highly recommend being painfully specific about what you want. Otherwise, it could end up real bad."
