"I recently had the opportunity to visit the Kay Environmental Center in Chester, NJ, and I was thoroughly impressed. The center is on a beautiful 223-acre site with various habitats, including meadows, forests, and wetlands. We used this short time for a photo shoot and the photos were impressive as amateurs. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the center's warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. I especially enjoyed the sun porch, which offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The highlight of my visit was getting an idea of the center's extensive walking trails. From what I could see, the trails appeared well-maintained and easy to follow, and they offered various scenic views. I was particularly impressed by the large, old trees that surrounded the building. In addition to its natural beauty, the Kay Environmental Center also offers a variety of educational and recreational programs. I attended a meeting of the TNC, which was informative and engaging. I highly recommend the Kay Environmental Center to anyone looking to explore, learn, or enjoy the outdoors. It is an extraordinary place that I will be returning to soon."
"Spectacular autumn colors"
"Good hike that follows the Black river from Kay Environmental Center. Wear a good pair sneakers or hiking boots because a portion of the trails have a lot of rocks and roots on the path. A majority of the paths are shaded, so on a hot day it won't be as hot."
"Great hike!! Cooper Mill Patriots trail to orange to Kay Environmental Center, then, yellow trail to orange to red, to green to Patriots path to Cooper Mill. 5.20 miles. Great workout, red and green narrow and not for young children. Wear sturdy mid hiking boots. Please keep your dogs on a leash."
"This Butterfly sanctuary is nestled in Morris County and I had the opportunity to speak with several staff members who were very polite and helpful. Although there are no official public bathroom facilities."
