"I recently had the opportunity to visit the Kay Environmental Center in Chester, NJ, and I was thoroughly impressed. The center is on a beautiful 223-acre site with various habitats, including meadows, forests, and wetlands. We used this short time for a photo shoot and the photos were impressive as amateurs. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the center's warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. I especially enjoyed the sun porch, which offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The highlight of my visit was getting an idea of the center's extensive walking trails. From what I could see, the trails appeared well-maintained and easy to follow, and they offered various scenic views. I was particularly impressed by the large, old trees that surrounded the building. In addition to its natural beauty, the Kay Environmental Center also offers a variety of educational and recreational programs. I attended a meeting of the TNC, which was informative and engaging. I highly recommend the Kay Environmental Center to anyone looking to explore, learn, or enjoy the outdoors. It is an extraordinary place that I will be returning to soon."
"First visit to the Kay Environmental Education Center! Followed the Patriot’s Path along the Black River to the Cooper Gristmill! Enjoyed the walk along the trail over rocks, logs, and bridges. Always like trails listening to the flow of water. Pleasant surprise to find art rocks! Highly recommend! Parking on site."
"This is a great place to walk. We love hiking with our dog here. There are ruins at the bottom of the valley which is about a mile walk. Be sure to check for ticks afterwards. On one fall trip we found nine ticks on our dog."
"This is beautiful, peaceful, scenic and well maintained with 200+ acres of fields and trails to hike and lots of flora, fauna and water features to enjoy. Part of the Morris County Park system, there is lots to see and experience for all ages. Be sure to wear sturdy hiking footwear, bring photography gear and enjoy this wonderful vast nature space! Go to: morrisparks.net or The Nature Conservancy (nature.org) for detailed info."
"Beautiful area for a peaceful walk through the woods. There are many trails so you can make your walk as long or short as you like. Most of the paths are gently sloping, although you can find a few that a bit more challenging. The path along the river is beautiful, or can venture towards the old mill."
