"They were almost out of all food and that may have contributed to a less than ideal experience. They were suppose to replace the chickpeas but the server took my tray and went with it behind to the kitchen (out of my sight) and comes back in a couple of minutes with some chickpeas. Turns out the chickpeas were cold/unheated - I could not eat them. The rice was kind of sticky. The garlic naan was tough, chewy - not fresh tasting. There was acceptable amount of chicken as there should be for the price ($15 without tax/tip). The butter chicken and chicken tikka masala are spicy but good, though not memorable or particularly distinguishable. Can't say I felt I got a full meal let alone a great one."

"It breaks my heart to write this review because this place is normally so good. I absolutely love the food and the generous portions here. But today they did the unforgiveable: they used leftover hard rice. The rice was at least a day old, maybe older. I don't know if it was because today is Friday and it's not very busy on Fridays, but the decision to use leftover hard rice was a poor decision. If not for this terrible gaffe, I would rate this business 5 stars. [edit] I am revising my review. This location is going totally downhill. Today I received one measly piece of paneer cheese for my paneer side choice, and only 4 small pieces of chicken. Picture enclosed."

"A great place to grab good indian cuisines at an affordable price in the heart of DC. The staffs are great. The seating arrangement is not great though. The place has only high chairs and not a place you can hangout. Though they have chairs and tables outside. Overall a good place for some decent food."

"On a day visiting museums in DC with relatives we ended up in this place and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. Place is small and they carry just two main dishes: Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala, with some good side dishes Saag Paneer (Spinach and Cheese) and Chana Masala (Chickpeas). The butter chicken was well seasoned, the tomato base was rich and flavorful. The Chicken Masala is spicy, though (and so are the chickpeas), with the right amount of spice but if you don't like spices or are sensitive to spicy food, this is not for you. Mango Lassi was delicious too. They have a motto "300 and we are done", which means they only serve 300 people a day and then food is gone and the restaurant is closed. Don't be surprised then if you come late and they are not open (I suggest to go there for lunch then)."

"Stopped by at this restaurant for a late lunch as well as one of my favorite dishes - ‘Butter Chicken’. The lady who took our order was very pleasing and accommodating and made our experience very pleasant. Menu is very simple - choose a main curry from Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken and 2 sides out of channa masala, saag paneer and aloo mattar. We were a group of 4 with 2 vegetarians so she gave us an option to choose the main curry from vegetarian options plus 2 sides. Butter chicken and chicken tikka masala tasted really good and channa masala was also very flavorful and delicious. Overall it was a good experience and I will definitely come here again for the butter chicken."
