"In my opinion this establishment is HIGHLY unprofessional. The owner Cancelled on my elderly mother at her appointment. She then screamed at me on the phone and hung up on me. I am honestly in shock."
"She did amazing job on cutting my hair...Also she takes her time ,I'll be coming back again soon that for sure!"
"I no longer live in Erie, but back in the 80s and 90s I got all of my perms and haircuts at Sassy Scissors. The owner is one of a kind and wonderful. I now live in Pittsburgh and wish I could find this type of salon!"
"In response to the poor reviews regarding "horrible customer service and rudeness on the phone" Sassy Scissors is not "Famous Hair" or like any other corporate franchise. Sassy Scissors is a one woman show, a very lovely woman at that. She's comfortably retired already so she doesn't NEED to do it at all, she does it by choice, not to turn a profit. Most months she actually ends up losing money after paying the bills. She does it bc she enjoys it and most of all she loves people. On one occasion i had scheduled an appt then my furnace broke mid winter. At the time i was unemployed so i was forced to not only empty my savings account, but borrow $ from friends to repair it. I had a multiple job interviews coming up which is why i had made the appointment. I called her to cancel my appt bc i was literally broke, i even over drafted my account. She asked if there was scheduling conflict and even offered to come in on a Sunday if that would be "more convenient for me". I thanked her for the offer, and without giving any details as to why i just said that I couldn't afford to spend the $. She insisted that I keep the appt and "don't worry about the money". A few months later i had another appt. After my haircut I paid and also tried to pay for the previous appt. She refused to accept the extra $ and wouldn't even take it as a "tip". She told me to take the extra $ money use it to buy my daughter some Play-doh, my daughter loves Play-doh. (i was forced to bring my 2 yr old daughter with me on a previous appt, not only did she not mind, she enjoyed her "antics" immensely!). She's a wonderful woman who is very talented stylist as well. That listed # is her personal cell phone. It's not like she's sitting at the business fielding calls. I HIGHLY recommend everyone to go there to get your hair done. She has the best prices by FAR ($5 haircuts) and she's very very good! If you feel that she's "rude on the phone" or whatever don't go, you're the one losing out not her. Idk about you, but I'll take rock bottom prices and a great haircut over "phone customer service" every day of the week!!! P.s. also be prepared to LOL bc she is hilarious!!"
