"Anna S. Was super helpful. She explained everything that we had a question for and helped us pick fabrics. Checkout process was super easy. We did not finance so no experience there. Very pleased!"
"My fiancé and I went to lay z boy in Woodbridge VA today to look at furniture due to their Veterans Day sale. The customer service was horrible. No one said hello, good afternoon, welcome to la-z-boy, can I help you find something….. NOTHING. We were in there looking at furniture by ourselves for 15-20 minutes. There were three reps on the floor and I later found out two of them were managers. They were talking amongst themselves and not paying customers or this customer any attention. One of them walked by us and looked at us a total of three times and said absolutely nothing. After 15-20 minutes we decided that we would NOT spend any money in that store or with this company. When we walked past all three employees, the female employee said something like “did you find everything okay”? My fiancé said absolutely nothing and I just said yea and kept walking. As we were walking towards the exit, two women and a man of opposite skin complexion walked in and walked to the middle of the store and guess what? Someone instantly walked over to them and inquired if they needed assistance. My fiancé who is a veteran was beyond disgusted. I kindly walked over to a gentlemen who was sitting behind the fabric table and asked if he was a manager. He answered no and stated that there were managers at the back of the store. I then explained to him how the piss poor customer service displayed to my fiancé and I was grossly disrespectful and that I we would never spend a dime in that store. He stated that he wasn’t a floor rep but would assist me. I kindly said no thank you. If I were to purchase, it would be online or I would go out my way to go to another store to spend my money. I am not saying anyone was racist because there was a young African American male employee amongst the three that exhibited horrific customer service. But I will say that the way the other family was assisted as soon as they walked in the store is a representation of something. What a way to thank a veteran for his services on Veterans Day. I truly hope this is not the collective representation of La-z-boy as a company."
"Buyer Beware! Deceptive and misleading advertisement..... I received the attached flyer (Please read everything in the fine print) in the mail which intrigued me to go to the store and shop. After spending hours of time picking the Furniture I wanted, which totaled over their $5,000 minimum for financing, the salesman came back with the invoice and stated I had to put 50% down on the purchase. I informed him that I was financing the whole purchase. But insisted that I would still need a 50% deposit from a different source of funds. Nowhere on this flyer does it state that. In fact, it says that the minimum monthly payment is the PURCHASE AMOUNT divided by the 36-month term. After bringing this up to the store manager Bruce the next day, he said there was nothing he could do, and he would reach out to the regional manager, and that they would contact me within 72 hours. After waiting weeks with no word from them I received a call from Bruce, not the regional manager, and he said they would be willing to do a 20% deposit instead. We ended up doing the 20% down but legally they are breaking the law by not advertising their financing properly. I have read the fine print all over this ad and nowhere does it state that I cannot finance the entire purchase. Even the website shows that the deposit can be paid with the La-Z-Boy credit card. All I wanted was for them to honor their advertisement, but they refused to."
