"NEVER AGAIN! Bought two Barcaloungers and shortly thereafter a part on one of them broke. Technician came out and said a part needed to be replaced but there has been no solution as of yet. After numerous calls to Gavigans and their repair company, we were told to wait patiently that these things take time. The problem started and was reported on June 17th and it is now September. We were just told today after yet another call, that the part is now on backorder and could be 6-8 weeks longer. On top of dealing with that disappointing news, the woman we were speaking with at the repair center hung up the phone on us when we expressed our dissatisfaction. We will never buy anything again from a company that takes this long to make things right, assuming it is ever resolved. Very disappointing and it appears stronger action will be needed."

"Received a broken sofa. The manager came to my home and promised a replacement. 6 months later, a new manager claimed I was lying, forcing me to prove the last manager's promise by providing copies of emails. Even after proof, refused to provide the replacement. Stated they would fix it as it was within the first year. They waited 3.5 months, to the line of the year mark, before finally fixing. Do not risk buying furniture here."

"My son and I shopped at Gavigans (Frederick, MD) for a living room set for his new apartment. The selection and quality was amazing, The most important asset to our shopping day was our salesman, Eric. He was knowledgeable, personable and not pushy in the least. He pointed out features we did not notice and insight to the manufacturer, style and craftsmanship. Simply told, he’s the gem you want to assist you when choosing such purchases. I am in my sixties and purchased a lot of furniture in my time, but never had such great service! So, when you shop for furniture, go to Gavigans and by all means, find Eric. He’s amazing!"

"Ordered furniture in June, was told it would be on the truck to the store September 9. This date has come and gone, no communication from the store. After several calls, getting the run around, not answering during business hours and waiting for a call from "the manager", finally find out today "we don't know when it will be delivered." Then when I mention they should be transparent with delivery date difficulties they advise "it's hard to be transparent when we don't know", which should have been disclosed while purchasing.... A little communication, goes a long way. After speaking with the child who is apparently "a manager", I am hoping I can speak with someone else regarding a refund to take our business elsewhere where customer service is actually valued because it is clearly not this establishment."
