"Old Hickory Steakhouse at the Gaylord provided a lovely solo dining experience. Seating by the bar was comfortable, allowing me to enjoy my meal at my own pace. The crabcake appetizer and kale salad were both fresh and flavorful, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to quality. Especially for a hotel restaurant. I thought it was a really nice experience."
"This place is over price I mean I don’t mine paying if it’s worth it. But the 8 oz fillet was good but not $75 good and that does not include sides those you have to buy separate which at around $14 each so expect to spend at least $100 on your meal. Honestly I’ve had better tasting and filling fillet meals for half that amount."
"The dinner was nice, food was decent. Waiter definitely experienced and knowledgeable. Feel pretty much rushed to finished the meal and can’t really enjoy the time. Feel the table turning rate is on a dashboard somewhere."
"This is truly a beautiful restaurant. Old Hickory is right inside the Gaylord hotel on the 1st floor near check-in. Parking can be tricky since garage parking brings you in on the 2nd floor near the conference rooms. They just recently started serving bunch which is offered from 11:30 to 3pm (even though the website has not been updated). It is a "fixed" ish menu. For $65 you start with a family style board, that has pastries, fruit, a selection of cheeses, and carb salad along with oysters. You then pick your choice of a brunch entree before finishing with a selection of desserts. The bottomless mimosas is an additional $30. Overall the dining experience was okay. The two family style portions of the meal were excellent but the entrees themselves were lackluster nothing was seasoned very well and the pancakes were bland and tasted like box mix. Overall it was more hits than misses! That reason alone makes it worth grabbing your family and friends and heading to the Gaylord for a fun weekend brunch."
"I was in the area visiting and decided to try this restaurant. First impressions were very impressive. The design and decor is very swanky and has a retro design. There is ample seating, bar and lounge areas to accommodate nearly anyone’s wants while also quite comfortable. They have a nicely stocked bar of course with top shelf liquors. As part of my meal, I was offered bread and butter. The bread is somewhat orange so I asked about the ingredients which include sun dried tomatoes. The honey in the honey butter is sourced from their own beehive on the roof of the restaurant, very interesting. Both the bread and butter is very good and worth trying. Due to pricing, I ordered a smaller filet mignon but it was very tender, like warm butter and flavorful. I sat in the bar area and service was great. There were multiple wait staff making sure customers were happy. Certainly worth a visit if you’re looking for a different place and want to splurge for a special occasion!"
